General Tournament Information
Player Selection Type
We will be using two clubs for this tournament. Please make sure
you know at which club you will be playing your match. Matches
followed by "Linco" will be played at The Lincolnshire Club,
(847-913-2000). Matches followed by "Liber" will be played at the
The Libertyville Club (847-362-5553). Plan to arrive at the proper
club at least fifteen minutes before your starting time. Please
allow for traffic when scheduling your time to get to the clubs. If
you are lost or stuck in traffic, calling the club prior to your
starting time may be a factor in determining defaults or penalties.

Tournament matches may be digitally recorded and a DVD purchased
if requested before the match begins:
By registering for this tournament you are agreeing to have your
tournament matches recorded. These recordings will be available for
sale at the tournament desk. Tournament matches can only be taped
at The Lincolnshire Club.
Level 6 Point Per Round, Challenger Tournament:
You will earn points in this tournament towards your Chicago and
Midwest ranking as outlined in the points per round ranking

Tournament includes a First Match Losers Consolation
Every first round loser is guaranteed a second round match.
Tournament matches may not have officials present on the court at
all times. If a USTA official is not present the tournament
director will resolve all disputes. If players have a dispute and
neither the official or tournament director is not on court they
should to go the net and raise their racquet alerting the
tournament director they need assistance.
All tournament matches will be played using regular add scoring.
Instead of a third set, a match tiebreak will be played (first
player to 10 points with a 2 point margin).
Schedule of Play
Matches will begin on Friday as early as 5 p.m. They will continue
on Saturday as early as 12 noon. If needed matches will continue on
Sunday as early as 12 noon. In the case of extremely large draws
some match times may start earlier on Saturday and Sunday.
We will accept all players into their respective age groups until
we reach 24 players. If you want to contact the tournament director
once we have received 24 entrants you can be put on a waiting list
in case someone drops out or if we are able to accommodate more
When we select players for our tournaments, we first go off of the
USTA Midwest standings list. If we can't find players from the
Midwest list, we then go off of the Chicago standings list to
finish up the selection process.
First Match Times
First match times will be posted at 6 pm CST two days before the
scheduled Tournament Start. You may find your start time by going
to the "future match info" report which is located above once the
times have been posted.Please note that the time on the far left is
the first match starting time. The match on the right is the
player's second match time. The match time following a "W" is the
second match time if the player wins his/her first match. The match
time following an "L" is the second match time if the player loses
his/her first match. Draws will be posted after the first round of
play has finished.
Withdraws/Midwest Suspension Point System
If you need to withdraw while registration is still open, please go
to our homepage and in the left margin click on "Edit Registration"
and proceed to withdraw. No reason is necessary while the
registration is still open. If registration has closed and
tournament has not begun yet, please email the tournament director
and list the reason for withdraw. If tournament has begun, please
call the tournament director. REMEMBER when withdrawing from
a USTA event once the selections have been made, the only reasons
that are accepted by the USTA Referee without incurring FIVE (5)
suspension points are injury, illness or family emergency. Having a
soccer game, a family dinner, or not feeling like playing the
consolation are not accepted reasons.
Signing Up for Two Events/Midwest Suspension Point
USTA/Midwest Section Suspension Point System The USTA Code of
Conduct and Suspension Point System is in effect. You are expected
to play the entire event as scheduled. The USTA/Midwest Section
Junior Competition Committee has adopted a new Suspension Point
System. All players will be given FIVE (5) suspension points for
entering two or more tournaments that take place at the same time,
in whole or in part, unless each Tournament Committee involved
agrees with the multiple entries in writing. This applies to all
players who signed up for the tournament including

Procedure for tournament registration: because of Privacy Laws,
your contact information from USTA membership doesn't show up in
the Tournament Directors' software anymore. Only what you indicate
during the registration process shows up. We have no way of
contacting you if you leave these areas blank. For instance, your
opponent is sick. You may make an extra trip here and not need to.
You must indicate all phone numbers, home, cell (a must!), work and
your email address on each registration, EACH and EVERY time, for
each and every tournament you register for.
The number of players seeded shall equal a power of two (for
example 2,4,8,16,32). The maximum ratio of players seeded shall be
one in three, except that any draw may have two seeds. No more
seeded players at #'s 5,6,7,9,10,11,12,13,14,15, etc. For reference

Once we have completed the selection process and made all the
draws, no refunds will be given.

Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, May 27, 2013 6:00:00 PM Central Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
