ABOUT THE TOURNAMENT
We are excited for the tournament. We have a large group of juniors and are looking forward to some great tennis matches. If there is anything we can do to help make your experience better, please let us know. The tournament is a first-round losers consolation in singles and single elimination in doubles. Please become familiar how this format works so you do not miss any of your matches.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Play begins Friday, September 27th at 8:00 a.m. Please be available to play during the day Friday. Players will not be allowed to play singles in two different age groups but may play one singles event and one doubles event. THIS IS A LEVEL 5 NATIONAL TOURNAMENT. There will be a playoff for 3rd and 4th place. Boy's and Girl's 10's Open Divisions will be played on a full size 78' court with green low compression balls. 10's Challenger Divisions will be played on 60' courts with orange low compression balls. CHALLENGER DEFINITION - A Challenger is a novice player who has not won an Open Tournament. A junior may continue to participate in Challenger events, in their age appropriate division, until they have won no more than (2) Challenger Tournaments.. After two (2) Challenger Tournament wins, a junior is no longer eligible for a Challenger event until they age up. A player may not play out of his/her age division in a Challenger event until the month in which the junior ages up. Due to the unpredictability of match outcomes, we are unable to take match time avoidance requests beyond the first day of the tournament. Avoidance requests must be made with the Tournament Director prior to the draws being made. RESCHEDULING POLICY - Finals may NOT be rescheduled! There will be NO RESCHEDULING of matches except in extreme circumstances beyond the control of the players and then only with prior approval of the Tournament Director. Players rescheduling without permission will be DEFAULTED! All costs of rescheduling are the responsibility of the initiator. Playlers are under NO obligation to reschedule when asked by an opponent.

The Intermountain Section seeding policy will be used for seeding this tournament. It can be found on the Intermountain Section home page.

SCORING TO BE USED
The scoring will be best 2-of-3 tie-break sets in all events EXCEPT B10s and G10s will play a match tie-breaker in lieu of the 3rd set. All doubles will play 8-game pro sets with a match tie-breaker at 8-8. The 15 minute default rule will be enforced throughout the tournament.

SUNDAY PLAY
Sunday play is required in this tournament. If you are not able to play on Sunday (finals), please do not enter the tournament if you think you could make it to the finals. There will be no rescheduling of matches.

WITHDRAWING PLAYERS
A withdrawing player shall immediately notify the Tournament Committee or Referee by telephone or electronic communication that the player will not be playing. If the player is not playing because of an injury or illness, the player shall deliver written verification of the injury or illness from a medical professional to the Referee no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament. If the player is not playing because of a personal emergency, the player shall deliver a written deion of the situation to the Referee no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament. The Referee shall determine whether the situation is a personal emergency.

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, September 19, 2013 11:59:00 PM Mountain Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
