A special thank you to everyone that played in the Banana Open. Although the weather was not kind to us, we somehow managed to get most of the matches played. We wish to also thank Sig Cox Heating and Air, Taylor Auto’s and Advanced Services for their support of our tournament. Court Conditions Update 10:45am
It is raining right now. All matches are on a 5 hour delay from the original start time. If you were scheduled for 9:00am then you are now at 2:00pm. If you were scheduled for 10:00 then you are now at 3:00, etc. If the courts are not close to playable at 1:00 then we will cancel play for the rest of the day and the tournament will remain unfinished. We will post a final update at 1:00pm confirming play or cancelling play for the day. Thank you for your patience.

Court Conditions Update 10:00am
The rain has stopped and we have begun drying the courts. All matches today will be played on the hard courts. The original 3 hour delay still stand so if you were scheduled at 9:00 please be prepared to play at 12:00. If you were scheduled to play at 10:00 please be prepared to play at 1:00, etc. If it begins raining again we will post another update here.

Consolation Cancelled 8:20am
For all those who signed up for consolation matches, I regret to inform you that we have had to cancel all consolation matches due to the need to complete main draws. We apologize for the inconvenience but would like to thank everyone for their patience yesterday and we appreciate your participation in this year's Banana Open.

Rain Delay Sunday 7:55am
We are currently in a rain delay. All matches are postponed 3 hours. Scheduled 9am matches will now start at 12pm, 10:30am matches will now start at 1:30pm, etc. Next update: 11am

Main Draw Sunday Match Times
Match Times for all main draw matches are posted. You may view your Sunday match times by clicking on your appropriate draw. We will post a court conditions in the morning at 8:00am stating whether play is on schedule or delayed.

Consolation Sunday Match Times
No Consolation Matches will begin before 1:30pm on Sunday. We are still working on the times for all consolation draws. Please check your email by 11:00pm tonight to find out your consolation match time for Sunday. If there is inclement weather, we will be forced to cancel all conslolation draws.

Updated Match Times 1:30pm
We have updated the draws with new match times. Check your respective draws for your Saturday match times. Please note the site at which you are playing. "PC" means Petersburg Clay Courts. "PH" means Petersburg Hard Courts. "WL" means Westlake Country Club. If you do not see a time in your bracket, that means you are not scheduled today. I will post Sunday match times tonight by 10:00pm.

No hard court matches will begin before 2:00 p.m.
No clay court matches will begin before 4:00 p.m.
At 2:00 p.m. if the clay courts are not playable, then we will cancel play for the day for all divisions playing on the clay courts.
We are adjusting the times on the draws. Please check this website at 1:00 for new times.

The rain has stopped. All hard court matches may be started as soon as the courts become dry. Players are responsible for drying their own courts. We will post an update on the clay courts at 11:15am. No matches will start on clay before 1:00pm.

Amenities
For this tournament, dinner will be provided by Somewhere in Augusta Thursday evening! Friday dinner will be provided by Crums on Central. Saturday morning breakfast will be provided by Kim's Donuts and Craig's Catering will provide lunch on Saturday. Barbara from Garden City Massage will be available throughout the tournament for personal massages (tips are appreciated).

Playing Surfaces
The following divisions will play on clay: Men's and Women's Singles/Doubles 3.5 and 4.0 and Mixed Doubles 7.0 and 8.0. The following divisions will play on hard courts: Men's and Women's Singles/Doubles 2.5, 3.0, 4.5 and Open and Mixed Doubles 5.0, 6.0, 7.0, 8.0, and Open.

This NTRP/Open tournament allows you to accrue Georgia ranking/standing points that maximize your opportunity to play in the Georgia State NTRP Championships. All eligible Georgia players are encouraged to register for these tournaments. Sanctioned
NTRP tournaments will now count toward s player’s “computer” rating at year-end
(used for league play) and NTRP tournament-only players will generate a
tournament exclusive (‘T’) rating after playing 3 or more tournament matches.

LATE ENTRANTS - USTA Georgia will allow late entrants to be accepted into all USTA GA tournaments, Levels 1-5, in the event that the draw is not full, provided that such late entrants do not affect the seeding and further provided that late entrants do not prevent timely entrants to be accepted into the draw under any circumstances. Accepting late entrants is at the discretion of the Tournament Committee. Seeds must be posted by 12 noon following close of registration. Once draws are posted, the tournament is closed and can no longer accept late entries.

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, April 21, 2013 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
