NTRP State Tournament in April
Please join us for our next tournament April 19. This is one of two State Championships that qualifies you directly to the Tri-State Tournament of Championship. Register by April 1, 2013 to receive a special gift of a camp chair - t-shirts to all other entrants. We look forward to seeing you then!

Thanks to everyone for making it another great tournament at Healy Point. Our next tournament is April 19 and we hope you will all come back and play then. It was indeed a beautiful weekend with fantastic tennis!

Traffic at Arkwright Road Exit!!!
We have been notified that construction on I-75 is causing significant congestion, especially around the Arkwright Rd underpass. Please plan accordingly and allow extra time to get to Healy Point. Riverside Drive (Hwy 23/87) is an alternate route for many of you.

Cookout on Saturday! $7 per person
We will have a cookout for tennis players on Saturday between 12 noon and 2:30 pm. We'll serve hamburgers, grilled chicken, hot dogs served with chips and soft drinks on the lawn adjacent to the tennis shop. The cost is $7 inclusive (cash preferred, credit or member charge OK). The Grill will likely be busy with golfers and members on this beautiful weekend. We hope you'll enjoy this luncheon away from the crowd next door.

Daquri Bar from 2-4 on the deck on Saturday afternoon. Enjoy a banana daquiri on the lawn while you watch some great tennis! Complimentary for players, $5 for all others.

All OPEN divisions will offer Prize Money $$$ - see the individual tournament notes for details.

Prize Money for Open Divisions
The Men's and Women's Open Divisions will offer Prize Money as follows: SINGLES CHAMPIONS $150, SINGLES FINALISTS $75. DOUBLES CHAMPIONS $30 per team, DOUBLES FINALISTS $20 per team (prorated for fewer entries). These payouts assume draws have a minimum of 8 players. Prize money for smaller draws will be paid out proportionately, with details posted online once entries are finalized. Likewise, if entries exceed 12 players, prizes will be increased proportionately as well. Payouts can be in the form of cash or merchandise gift cards.

Grill at Healy Point - onsite Dining options
Our grill, downstairs in the main clubhouse is open 7:15 am - 6:00 pm daily. Please take advantage of this onsite dining opportunity. They have a wide selection of breakfast and lunch items, including sandwiches, wraps, and salads. Cash and credit cards are accepted, in addition to Canongate member charges.

Draws Posted
The draws have been posted. Please be careful to check your time AND location. Some Friday evening matches will be at Idle Hour Country Club. Also, double check AM and PM we are playing from 8 am until 8 pm on Saturday! IF NO TIME IS SHOWN, IT MEANS THE MATCH WILL BE ON SUNDAY exact time to be determined as a result of play on Saturday.

Directions to Healy Point
I-75, Exit 169, Arkwright Rd. At the end of the ramp, turn East. Carrabba's, Outback, and Waffle House should be on your right. Just around the curve, turn right into the River North community (River North Blvd). Tell the guard you are going to the Country Club. Continue 3 miles down River North Blvd. At the stop sign, turn right into Healy Point Country Club.

Directions to Idle Hour Country Club 251 Idle Hour Drive
From I-75 Exit at Bass Road and travel West.
Continue on Bass Road to traffic light at Forsyth Road.
Turn left onto Forsyth Road.
Travel on Forsyth Road - pass Wesleyan College and Kroger on right side.
After passing Kroger on right take Immediate right (just past guard rail) onto Idle Hour Drive.
After slightly veering to the right, you will dead end into the entrance to Idle Hour. Drive straight in past the clubhouse. The tennis courts are straight ahead.

Tiebreak Format
A ten point tie-break will be used in lieu of a full third set. The Coman format will be used for all set tiebreaks as well as the 3rd set tiebreak.

Avoidances
We will make every effort to accomodate any avoidance that is communicated to us in writing (email) prior to the close of entries. An avoidance is defined as one 3-hour block of time per player or team. If you are in more than one event, you are still limited to one avoidance. Thank for understanding that accomodating your avoidance can greatly impact the schedule for all other players. Plan to block out the weekend and enjoy the tournament at Healy Point!

Healy Point Dress Code
Appropriate tennis attire and court shoes must be worn on court at all times. The Director of Tennis reserves the right to ask any member or guest to change attire if s/he feels that it violates the spirit of this policy.
