Notes
Welcome to the 31st annual Bud Simpson Open. T-shirts are
provided by Fast Eddies and Saturday lunch is provided by James
Claywell Edward Jones. The main play site is the beautiful Andy
Simpson Tennis Complex at Lewis & Clark Community College in
Godfrey, IL. This year our prize money totals over $1500. There
needs to be at least 4 participants signed up for a draw to receive
any prize money. Proceeds from the tournament go to benefit the
Alton Parks and Recreation Junior Tennis Program and to repair the
Simpson Tennis Center at Gordon Moore (See Simpson Tennis)
Play will begin on Friday evening and continue through Sunday.
Regular scoring will be used and a 10-point tiebreaker will be
played in lieu of a third set. In main draw semi-final and finals
matches a full third set will be played. In consolation finals
matches a full third set will be played. Every draw will be first
match losers consolation, so everyone will play at least 2 matches.
We hope to see everyone there and can't wait to watch some great
tennis.
