IN ANTICIPATION OF POSSIBLE WET COURTS SATURDAY MORNING
It is currently very wet and humid in Austin as of 1:45 p.m. Friday. While tomorrow's forecast shows partly cloudy skies, there is a chance that we will have wet courts in the morning due to today's weather. I have a few of my site directors, tourney Referee and myself making very early runs to all sites/courts in the morning throughout the Austin area. I will put an update to this homepage no later than 7:00 a.m. and preferably sooner regarding the conditions of play at each site. Please FOLLOW ME ON TWITTER (http://twitter.com/catadirector) OR CHECK THIS HOMEPAGE BEFORE YOU COME FOR YOUR 8:00 A.M. MATCH AT ANY SITE. I do not want our patrons to make a needless trip to a site. If we do have weather issues in the a.m., site directors will not report until notified by me that they are to open their site for play. I do routine updates and you can check here or twitter for those. Players can expect shortened formats to start immediately should we experience a delayed tournament start. How short will be determined by the length of our delay. There are a lot of matches that need to be played and we'll need to get as many in as we can.

WHAT TO DO IN THE EVENT OF INCLEMENT WEATHER
If inclement weather conditions exist for the Supers tourney this information will help you stay informed by the Tournament Director. **First you can obtain the fastest, most up-to-date information via TWITTER. Follow me: http://twitter.com/catadirector **Secondly, I routinely update this website with details about rain delays, and when play is anticipated to resume at each site. If you do not have internet access readily available to you, your hotels generally do in their business centers. Please use their internet services to access our tournament homepage to look for answers with regard to rain delays. This will help you know when to return to your site for match play and help the tournament run more smoothly by reducing unnecessary phone calls. **Thirdly, you may also call the CATA office for updates at 512 443-1342. Our office voice mail will have updates for you as well. However, this is more difficult to stay on top of so your most up-to-date info can be found via TWITTER or by viewing this tourney homepage.

RE-CHECK DRAWS OFTEN, ONCE PUBLISHED
Parents and Players: Many entrants do not have telephone numbers or email addresses associated with our tournament entry software. For this reason, please re-check your draw and match times frequently up to tournament start. The tournament will continue to publish withdrawals and your first-round match times may change.
|
|
Some Doubles Match Times Changing
Due to a few player conflicts (playing singles at one site and doubles at another), conflicting match times were not picked up by the tourney software. Some doubles match times will be affected so please re-check your draws up to tourney start.
