Tournament Fees

Courts are not drying. We are now running on a two and 1/2 hour delay. If you were scheduled to play at 8, 9 or 9:30, please arrive at 10:30. We have added extra courts at Winthrop and will send you to your site. You can come to the Rock Hill Tennis Center for any updates on your match times.

RAIN DELAY: One hour delay on all matches today (If you are scheduled to play at 8 AM, your new match time is now 9 AM). We hope to catch up in time for the matches scheduled for Noon and later, so please check with us at the tournament desk for matches for the afternoon. Thank you!

This year we will kick off the tournament with a Friday night (officiated) team exhibition match where the Club Pros (Tiago Ruffoni and Tedi Doncheva) will square off against former NCAA standouts (Dejon Bivens and NCAA Women’s Player-Vivian Segnini) in a 3-setter (1-set Men's Singles; 1-set Women's Singles; 1-set Mixed Doubles). In the spirit of the US Open, to accompany the featured, Friday Evening Pro Exhibition Event, a NY-Style Hot Dog Dinner will be provided to all players participating in the tournament (non-players/guests may enjoy dinner for a nominal fee).

In addition to awards for division winners, there will be a random drawing for one participating singles division (Men’s or Women’s) and one participating doubles division (M, W or MX) to win a $25.00 Cracker Barrel gift card (to be awarded to the winners of those respective championship matches). Drawing to be held the night before and the “Breakfast on Us” match-ups will be posted on the morning of the finals

Please come out and enjoy what could be our most competitive tennis tournament to-date and help us further our efforts to expand tennis facilities and the game of tennis. Beginning in 2014, the MCTA will track participation and performance in our ADULT tournaments (*One Day League Kickoff, Rock Hill City Championships at Come See Me, York Summerfest, Taste of Tennis). Total points earned across those tournaments will be tallied at the end of the final tournament and awards will be granted as follows:

• The individual male and females with the highest number of total points will be awarded grounds passes for two
to the 2015 US Open in Flushing Meadows
• Men’s Doubles team with highest total points will be awarded tickets to the 2015 Winston- Salem Open
• Women’s Doubles team with highest total points will be awarded tickets to the 2015 Family Circle Cup
• Mixed Doubles team with highest total points will be awarded tickets to the 2015 BB&T Atlanta Open

Ladies and Gentlemen, I cannot stress enough how important your participation in our tournaments is to our overall vitality and one of our purposes, which is to continue to grow recreational tennis in our area. If you are going to be in town the weekend of 11/15, you can enjoy a weekend of fun and competitive tennis for little more than the price of one of our clinics and less than the price of a private lesson. Please register today; and even if you absolutely cannot play, please come out and enjoy the festivities on Friday evening (pro exhibition match time will begin at 6:30pm).

897 Maplewood Lane, Rock Hill, SC 29730 From I-77 North/South: Take Exit 82 B towards Rock Hill. Turn onto Cherry Road heading west. Continue on Cherry Road for 1 1/4 miles through 5-6 traffic lights. Tennis Center will be on your left. If you have come to Cherry Park or to Blockbuster you have gone to far. CiCi-s Pizza & TCBY are across the street, Little Caesar's Pizza, Penn Station, & Family Dollar are a block just before the center on the same side of the street. Call (803)-326-3842 if you need help. From I-85 take Route #5 or Route 161 towards Rock Hill/York, do not go all the way to Charlotte. Follow Route #5 into Rock Hill & turn left onto Cherry Road. Continue on Cherry Road for 2.1 miles and the tennis center will be on your right.

All Main Draw and Consolation matches will be best 2 out of 3 sets with a match tie break in lieu of a 3rd set, if necessary. (Coman tie break will be used). Consolation is a First Match Losers Consolation. Players are allowed to play in one Mixed Doubles Event and One Regular or Senior Gender event (mens' or womens') or one doubles event and a singles event. Maximum of 2 events per player. This allows us to keep the scheduling moving for the weekend, so players do not have huge delays before their matches. Thank you!

IMPORTANT!!! There are additional parking spots behind the tennis center at Sullivan Middle School. We have only 35 spots at the bottom of the hill of the tennis center, with an additional 200 spots behind the courts at the middle school. DIRECTIONS: When you turn left/right onto Maplewood Lane. from Cherry Road, do not turn into the parking lot of the center, continue straight on Maplewood Lane. for 1/8 of a mile, then turn right onto Eden Terrace and then a quick right into the middle school lot by the tennis courts.

There will be someone stringing racquets at the main site, but you may want to call in advance to make sure they can complete it in the time requested. You can reach them at the main number 803-326-3842.

Within walking distance: CiCi's Pizza, Little Caesars Pizza, Little Cafe Family Restaurant, Penn Station Subs, Burk's BBQ, TOYO Sushi. We also have a small concession area that provides snacks, sodas, bottled water & powerade to our customers.
