FORMAT WILL BE FIRST MATCH LOOSER CONSOLATION OR SINGLES ELIMINATION DEPENDING ON HOW MANY ARE IN THE DRAW. SCORING FOR 12 TO 18S - 8 GAME PRO SET, WIN BY 2 GAMES WITH 7 POINT TIE BREAK AT 8-8. AND 10 AND UNDER WILL BE A 6 GAME PRO SET WIN BY TWO GAMES WITH A 7 POINT TIE BREAK AT 6-6.

WARM-UPS ON TOURNAMENT COURTS WILL BE ALLOWED FROM 7:15 - 7:45 AM SATURDAY AND SUNDAY. AFTER THIS ALL WARM-UPS BY PLAYERS CANNOT BE ON TOURNAMENT COURTS. ASK AT THE CHECK IN DESK FOR DIRECTIONS TO PUBLIC COURTS.

8 AND UNDER WILL BE PLAYED ON COURTS 9 AND 10. WE ASK THAT ALL 8 AND UNDER PLAYERS STAY IN THE SPOT THAT THEY ARE ASSIGNED SO THAT WE CAN RUN THEIR ROUND ROBINS AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. 8 AND UNDER WILL PLAY THE BEST OF THREE GAMES - 1ST TO 7 POINTS WINS THE GAME. PLAYERS WILL ALTERNATE SERVING 2 POINTS. WE WILL ALTERNATE BOYS AND GIRLS PLAY. RACQUEST MAY ONLY BE UP TO 23 INCHES LONG.

Myrtle Beach Tennis Center 3302 Robert M Grissom Parkway Myrtle Beach, SC 29577 The courts are located behind Myrtle Beach High School. DO NOT enter the the main entrance to the high school. Enter through the bus entrance which is located next to the electronic MBHS sign. You will see underneath small logo that says...Myrtle Beach Tennis Center.

Depending on the size of the draws matches may start on Friday between 5 and 6 pm or Saturday morning at 8 am. Everyone should report 30 minutes prior to your posted match time. Match times will be posted Wednesday night and no later than Thursday mid-day.

All participants must check in at Myrtle Beach Tennis Center at least 45 minutes prior to their first match. Check in at least 30 minutes prior to all other matches. Better to have the player waiting then have empty courts.

12s,14s, 16s, 18s main draw and consolation matches will be a third set match 10 point tie break in lieu of the 3rd set. Main draw matches will be regular scoring and the consolation draw will be no add scoring. Boys and girls 10s (ORANGE BALL) will be played based on the 10-under format with no add scoring. This level will play two short set of 4 games each (ahead by 2 games), with a 7 point tie break at 4 games all. If both players win a set they will play a 7 point tie break to decide the match. All doubles will b 8 game pro sets with a 7 point tie break at 8 games each.

All age divisions will be using Wilson tennis balls.

SPECTATORS ARE ENCOURAGED TO BRING LAWN CHAIRS TO WATCH THE MATCHES.

Myrtle Beach Tennis Center has 10 hard courts with 8 being lit.

When playing a best of 3 sets match with a match tie-break in lieu of the 3rd set, players who split sets are entitled to a 3 minute coaching break. Coaching must occur on court or at the fence line of the court. Cell phones may be used during the break. Bathroom break can be requested AFTER the coaching break-if player elects to use the restroom during the break, he/she forfeits the coaching opportunity

Breakfast snacks will be provided on Saturday and Sunday. Lunch will be served at 12 pm on Saturday to all players.

Awards/Trophies will be given to the champion, finalist and consolation winner of each singles division. Doubles divisions will be awarded Champion and Finalist trophies. All 8U participants will be given a medal.
