When you reach the traffic cireclt, take the first exit onto William Hilton Parkway/278 Business. Travel approx. 5 miles. Turn right onto Folly Field Road. Resort is half a mile on the right. NO PETS ARE ALLOWED AT THIS FACILITY. No one permitted on courts prior to 7:45 am please.

19 DeAllyon Avenue, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928 Directions to VDM Tennis Center (VDM) from I-95, take exit 8 (Hilton Head Is) onto Hwy 278. Stay on Hwy 278 onto the island. At the north end of the island, Hwy 278 will fork... take left-hand fork onto the Cross Island Pkwy (Toll Road). Pay the toll and proceed until you reach the Sea Pines traffic circle. Take the second exit off of the circle onto Pope Avenue. At the second traffic light take a right onto Cordillo PKWY. Drive about 200 yards and take a left onto Deallyon Avenue. Drive past the Player's Club Resort entrance and turn right immediately after the Player's Club building.(You will see courts on both the left and right side of Deallyon).

Physical Address: 116 Shipyard Drive, Hilton Head Island, SC 29928 Directions to Shipyard Racquet Club (SHIP): From the Van Der Meer Tennis Center (VDM) ,turn right on Cordillo Parkway. Go straight through the traffic light on Pope Avenue and into the entrance of Shipyard Plantation. (Shipyard Plantation is a gated community. Please notify the gate guard that you are attending a Van Der Meer Tennis Program to receive a day pass to enter the Plantation. Please obey all speed limit signs. They are strictly enforced!. Follow the main Shipyard Plantation road for 1 mile until it ends in a traffic circle onto Shipyard Drive (Towards the Sonesta Resort). Follow for 1.5 miles. The Van Der Meer Shipyard Tennis Resort will be on your right. Turn into the parking lot (Sonesta) and turn right - park in this lot. The hard courts are four, located at the back of the clay courts. There is another grass field parking lot you can park in closer to the courts, but you must turn on the road just before the VDM Shipyard tennis center. (Barcelona Road)

REGISTRATION CHECK IN (MAIN SITE ONLY): Please check in for the tournament before your first match at the main site, VDM Tennis Center (19 Deallyon Ave - directions below). It is most important to be on time for your match, but please check in as soon as possible immediately after your match. We have to make sure we have contact phone numbers for you for the weekend!!

USTA South Carolina Seeding Regulations will be followed: SINGLES SEEDING CRITERIA Seeding shall be done using only the results from most recently published USTA South Carolina Combined Standings Lists (at close of registration) of the division in the order in which players appear on the list. IN ADDITION to the list, other criteria to consider: Players who have a standing in the next younger age division may be seeded in any group of seeds if they are in the top 15 of the most recently published USTA SC Combined Standings Lists of any younger age division or in the top 50 of the USTA Southern Combined Standing Lists. Players with current top 50 USTA Southern Standing, top 400 National ranking will be considered for seeding. Out of State players with a Southern standing up to 300 may be given consideration for seeding. Doubles teams will be seeded in order of their combined standings. Teams that have the same combined standing shall be seeded in the order of the total number of Ranking points held by each team. Teams with a current top 50 USTA Southern Standings may be considered for seeding.

Withdrawing during the tournament, You MUST see the Head Referee at the main site. DO NOT tell anyone at the desk and think you have properly withdrawn. You must see the head referee in person or it will be counted as a “No Show” which carries a penalty of 5 suspension points. No telephone withdrawals will be accepted. The withdrawal must then be confirmed in writing (email) to the Referee: MsRabb@aol.com. Please be aware that if a player withdraws for any reason other than illness, injury, or a family emergency, suspension points can be given to that player. PLEASE NOTE IT IS THE PLAYER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE SURE THEY HAVE BEEN WITHDRAWN. If you do not get a confirmation back from us, please contact us again. NO Refunds will be issued for players withdrawing after Friday, September 6th, 2013 after 8:00 AM as per Friend At Court National Regulations. Anyone withdrawing (for any reason) six (6) days prior to the tournament start date.

Boys and Girls 10s will be played at Shipyard on CLAY COURTS. (SHIP) Boys and Girls 12s will play on HARD COURTS at Shipyard (SHIP). All other divisions will play on hard courts (unless we have inclement weather).

IT IS IMPERATVE THAT YOU ADD YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION (e-mail and phone) during the online registration process when prompted. Failure to do so might result in not being able to reach you to notify you of alternate status, time changes and draw changes. Van Der Meer Tennis Center - (VDM) - Main Site Once on the Island, follow Business 278 East until you reach the traffic circle. (If you enter off of the connector, it is your second right on the traffic circle). Take the third exit off of the circle onto Pope Avenue. At the second traffic light down Pope Avenue, take a right onto Cordillo Parkway. About 1/4 mile down Cordillo Parkway, take the first left onto DeAllyon Drive. The Van Der Meer Tennis Center is located at the second driveway on the right.

For the Boys: Any T-shirts worn must be plain or tennis related. No underwear should be visible above waist band or below hemline. Shirts must be worn at all times. Shorts must be worn appropriately above pelvic bones. Sleeveless shirts are acceptable if made that way - no cutoffs. For the Girls: Any T-shirts must be plain or tennis related. Skirts and shorts must be worn appropriately above the pelvic bones. The bottom of your shirt must touch the top of your skirt or shorts while standing upright- shoulders back. This means do not roll down your skirts or shorts. Thank you for your cooperation.

Courtside or Surf Court - 2 bedroom/2 bath, fully equipped condos adjacent to Van Der Meer Tennis Center in the South Forest Beach Area of the Island. Both are located within 1.5 blocks of the beach and have swimming pools. Coligny Plaza, 2 Grocery Stores, numerous shops and restaurants are located within walking distance. As regulated for 2011 Nationally, all play in the 10 and Under Age Division will be on Quick Start courts. All play will be on a 60 foot court using low compression balls. The scoring format will be as follows: Best of three short sets to 4 games, must win by 2 (7 point set tiebreak at 4-4) with a 7 pt tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set. ( if the players reach 4-4, a 7 point tiebreak will be played to determine the winner). This 7 pt tiebreaker will only be used if a third set is needed to determine a winner after the first two sets are played. We would like for all of the players to participate in doubles. If you have a preferred partner, please tell us now.

All maindraw and consolation matches will be best 2 out of 3 sets with a Match tie break in lieu of a 3rd set. Consolation is First Match Losers Consolation. We will use best 2 out of 3 sets for the Semis and Finals in the Main draw. All doubles matches will be 8 game pro sets. The Referee reserves the right to change the scoring in the Main Draw, if we have inclement weather. Play will begin in some draws on Friday afternoon at 4:00 PM.

Awards will be presented to winners, finalists, and consolation winners.

USTA Rules and The CODE of CONDUCT govern the tournament competition and participants during the event.

Practice courts will be available on Friday at Van Der Meer Tennis Center(13 hard) and Shipyard(4 hard). Courts will be 1st come/1st serve (4 players per court). Match Play Sites-VDM Tennis Center(VDM)-main site and VDM Shipyard(SHIP) Practice Sites-Cordillo Courts(3 hard), Hilton Head Middle School (4 hard), and VDM Tennis Center(3 hard). Alll practice courts will be 1st come, 1st serve (4 per court). Directions to all sites are listed above.
