Kiawah Island Summer Junior Championship-SC L3

The B16 singles first round will start on FRIDAY pm. Sorry for the mistake on the draw.

Players may go DIRECTLY to their first match site. You will need to go to the Roy Barth Tennis Center to pick up your tournament shirt and pay any fees that you may owe. This may be done Friday after 3pm or Saturday anytime.

We will be using both tennis facilities this weekend for the tournament. Please pay attention to your LOCATION and TIME for each match. You could be playing at either site in the same day. The two sites are 2 miles apart from each other.

Doubles will start Saturday afternoon.

will be available Wednesday evening by 9pm.

I will be working on the doubles through Wednesday night. If you want to play doubles, you may email me and I will try and pair you up.

The first matches could start as early as Friday at 4:30pm.

This is a Southern Level 5 and South Carolina Level 3 tournament.

Special villa rates are available. One bedroom villas are $175/night, two bedroom villas are $245/night and three bedroom villas are $325/night. Rates are based on availability of villas and are subject to a 12.5% tax and an 8% resort fee. Bottled water and Gatorade will be provided for all players throughout the weekend.

Only guests staying through the Kiawah Island Golf Resort are allowed to use the new West Beach Pool facility which is adjacent to the tennis club.

The scoring format is as follows: best of 3 short sets to 4 games (win by 2), 7 point tie-break at 4-4, with a 7 point tie-break (win by 2) in lieu of third set. Ad scoring will be used. 10 and Under tennis requires racquets no longer than 25"

All maindraw matches (12's -18's) will be best 2 out of 3 sets with a match tie break in lieu of a 3rd set. All consolation matches will be best of 3 sets with a match tie break in lieu of a full 3rd set. Doubles will use an 8-game pro set.

There will be a first match losers consolation for singles (FMLC). Doubles is single elimination.

If you need to withdraw before entries close, you must do so online. All withdrawals after entries close and anytime during the tournament, must also be sent in writing by E-Mail to the Tournament Referee (barth_jonathan@yahoo.com).

USTA REGULATIONS will be used and the Point Penalty System will be enforced.

In case of Inclement Weather the match play format may change, as approved by USTA SC.
