DOUBLES
DOUBLES REGISTRATION: We will accept doubles teams through 5 PM today (for divisions that already had players signed up at the close of registration). Please email the Tournament Referee at MSRabb@aol.com and list your age division and partner's name. Doubles will either begin Friday night or early on Saturday morning (8 AM). If you are registered for doubles and do not have a partner, please email the Referee your contact info for anyone looking for a partner. Please list RCTC Challenger - Doubles in the subject of your email.

CHALLENGER ELIGIBILITY
Eligibility for Level 4 (Challenger Circuit): Any player may play in the SC L4 tournament. If they have a current standing in the TOP 10 (SC Standings) they must play up in a higher age group.
|
|
Play Dates:
Play will begin Friday, April 19th and finish Sunday, April 22nd. We usually do 5 and 6:30pm Match times on Friday. All depends on size of draws.

Wireless Internet is available at the main site (Richland County Tennis Center on Parklane Road). The Password is available upon request.

Doubles Registration:
Doubles registration must be done on-line. If you need help in finding a partner, please email the Referee (MSRabb@aol.com) your contact information and we will share it with other players in your age division who are also looking for partners. We do NOT match players up automatically.
|
|
Check-In
Players are encourged to check in 30 minutes prior to match time to ensure they are at the correct site. PPS will be enforced. The Richland County Tennis Center will be the Main Site. Additional sites will be added if the draws are extremely large.
|
|
Ammenities:
Tournaments T-shirt and lunch on Saturday, will be provided to all players.
|
|
Play Format:
Singles- FMLC
Doubles - Single Elimination
All singles matches will play best of two sets with a 10 piont tiebreaker in lieu of a third set. (All players are guaranteed two matches). All doubles matches will play a Pro Set format, first to 8 games with tie break at 8-8.
Boys and Girls 10 and Under will play best of three short sets to 4 games, must win by 2 (7 point tiebreakerat 4-4) with a 7-point tiebreaker in lieu of a third set (must win by 2).

Balls:
Wilson balls will be used for this tournament.
|
|
Rules:
USTA rules will govern all play.
|
|
Inclement weather:
In case of Inclement weather, alternates scoring and sites may be used.

|
Awards:
Awards will be given to champions and finalist of main draws. Winners only in consolation draws.

Richland County Tennis Center, 7500 Parklane Road, Columbia, SC 29223 (803) 788-3001. Take Exit 116 (which is I-77 north toward Charlotte). Stay on I-77 north and take the Decker Blvd Exit. Go straight 4 miles. Decker Blvd changes to Parklane Road at the Two Notch Road intersection, (Columbia Place Mall).The courts will be approximately 1 mile from the Two Notch Road intersection on the right.

The RCTC courts will be 1 mile up on the right.

South Carolina Tournament Level 4-Challenger: Beginning January 1, 2013, all CHALLENGER tournaments in SC will offer both yellow ball and green ball divisions for 12U play for the purpose of transition from the 10U orange ball. The 12U Green division is designated by "Quick Start: 12U" on the registration page. Play in the 12U green ball division will count toward the player's Current Standings.

Sportsmanship Responsibilities: All parents are encouraged complete the "Parenting My Champion" sportsmanship video before their player participates in this level tournament.

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. Please consult your Section or District rules and regulations for entry requirements for this tournament. If you enter this tournament and are not eligible, any refund is as the discretion of the Tournament Director. Only USTA members can register online if available.
