UNDERSTANDING is the word of the day and along with that comes patience. Matches are as scheduled.

It is not good courts are very wet. I will only have 4 clay courts for most of the day. I need 15 minutes to adjust schedual. Please look back at 9:15

The rain is just not stopping. The radardoes shows a breck later this morning. Some is the courts will be playable faster than others . Until the rain stops it is hard to give everyone a firm time. Please check back at 9am. I might need to push back times and I will be able to do so at this time. We want to finish all of the main draws. For some of you that's going to be a long day. The scoring for some draws will change to short sets with no add scoring. All round robins will keep the scoring they started with. The FCTC guys are on the courts now working on the puddles.

The rain has hit. We are done for the day. Saturday matches are cancelled. I will have a new tentative schedule up by 9pm sat. You will need to look online at 8:30 am Sunday for next up-date. Be prepaired for a possible 10am start on Sunday. Thank you FCTC

Draws will be posted 12/12 at noon. I can not post seeds until all those entered are paired up. Look and see if it is your friend is holding up the process and help them out.

All players' current 2013 NTRP ratings will be acceptable for entry into doubles. Any player is welcome to play up by choice or due to receiving a higher rating for 2014.

When signing up for Mixed Doubles, please note that only a one point difference in levels is allowed. For example, a 7.0 Mixed team can be two 3.5 players, a 2.5 and a 3.5, a 3.0 and a 3.5, or two 3.0 players playing up.

To make the holidays a little brighter for the cancer patients, a Patient Care basket will be available prior to and during the event inside the FCTC Pro Shop. Everyone is encouraged to donate a gift to add a little comfort for the patients during cancer treatments. Suggested items are: bottled water, Ensure/Boost, magazines, fleece blankets, pre-packaged mints and lemon drops, individually wrapped goodies (granola bars, fruit snacks, fig newtons, peanut butter or cheese crackers, animal crackers), diabetic sugar-free cookies/snacks, napkins for snacks, gas cards for patient travel to and from treatments or orange juice and apple juice boxes. No time to shop for snacks, pick up a Walmart or Costco gift card for the MUSC staff to replenish needed items. Whether small or large, every gift will make a difference!

It is the responsibility of the players to verify their match time as match times are subject to change. Please check the draws again at 8:00 am on Friday, December 13, to insure that you arrive on time for your first match either Friday night or Saturday morning.

Prior to first match, all players must sign a Family Circle Tennis Center waiver available during check-in.

Both clay and hard courts will be used at the discretion of tournament staff with all matches played at Family Circle Tennis Center.
