Inclement weather
In the event of inclement weather at either site, a notice will be posted on this, the tournament website. Please understand that we will not guestimate weather conditions that have not occurred, so will not alter schedules due to a forecast. Players will be expected to report on time to their sites if no notice has been posted. Inclement weather in one region/area is not indicative of weather conditions in other regions/areas. Tournament referee has the discretion to use alternate sites and scoring methods, should it be necessary.

Check-In Times
REGISTRATION - CHECK IN will begin at 4 PM on Friday afternoon and 7:30 AM on Saturday morning.Please be to your match site AT LEAST 30 minutes prior to your first match to check in for the tournament and give contact information (especially cell phone number of parent/player who are with you at the tournament. Also, check in at the tournament desk at lesat 30 minutes prior to your scheduled match time. You will be able to register at the site you are playing your first match. Players who are scheduled for a site on Saturday will remain at that site all day, unless playing in more than one age division. Lunch will be provided for players at both sites.

WITHDRAWALS
If you need to withdraw before entries close, you must do so online. Click on Edit Registration, then Withdraw. You will need your original confirmation number (which you can obtain under the edit registration). Players withdrawing after the tournament entry deadline will not be refunded the entry fee. All withdrawals must be done in writing (email) directly to the Tournament Referee.

Caughman Rd Matches
Caughman Road Tennis Center (CRTC) Saturday ONLY. B10, B12, B14, G12. This is the same site as listed below as CAUG for Directions. Matches in these divisions will play at this site all day on Saturday. If you play in more than one division, you may have matches at two sites.

Divisions with Friday Play
B18, B16, B12, G18, and G16 will have first rounds playing on FRIDAY, beginning at 5 pm. Advoidance requests that were made before entries closed will not play before 6 pm. Referee will attempt (but cannot guarantee) avoidance requests made after entries closed Monday night. EXCEPT FOR GIRLS 16s, not all players in that division will play Friday (Girls 16s WILL PLAY Friday night). Those with first-round byes or draws of 8 or less will play their first matches on Saturday. If you have questions, email the referee, PLEASE do not phone.

Boys and Girls 10s
All play in the 10's will play on 60ft court using Orange Low Compression balls and 25" racquets. (We will measure all racquets to ensure compliance with this National Regulation). The scoring format will be as follows: best of 2 Short Sets (first to four and win by two), with a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) at 4-4 in each set, and a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) for the third.
10 and Under Age divisions will not start play until Saturday morning.

AMENITIES
Lunch and a T-shirt will be provided to all participants in this event.

TOURNAMENT FORMAT
All matches will play best of 3 sets using a 10 point match tie-break in lieu of 3rd set, until the Finals. We will play out all Finals with a full third set.

USTA REGULATIONS
The Point Penalty System will be in affect for all play. This includes the lateness penalty, so please be on time for your matches.

SC DOUBLES RULE
SC DOUBLES RULE: DOUBLES POINTS INCREASED TO 25% OF YOUR COMBINED RANKINGS!! Points earned for Doubles HAVE BEEN RAISED in South Carolina to 25%. The State Rankings will be calculated as follows: 100% of singles points from a player's best six singles tournaments plus 25% of the doubles points from a player's best six doubles tournaments. The points earned in doubles do not have to be from the same six tournaments that points are earned in singles.

DOUBLES ADDED
Last year we added doubles to our tournament and response was GREAT! Please work quickly to get your doubles partner for the tournament. Email us your contact information if you want us to share it with other players searching for partners. We are NOT matching up partners. We are only trying to help you share conact information. Both doubles partners need to agree and register together before the registration closes on Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013.

RCTC coming in on I-26 Eastbound from Spartanburg:
Richland County Tennis Center, 7500 Parklane Road, Columbia, SC 29223 (803) 788-3001.
Take Exit 107 (which is I-20 East toward Florence) then Exit 73B ( I-77 north toward Charlotte). The Parklane Road exit is 1 mile on the right. Take right onto Parklane Road. The RCTC courts are one mile on the left.

RCTC coming on I-26 Westbound from Charleston:
Richland County Tennis Center, 7500 Parklane Road, Columbia, SC 29223 (803) 788-3001. Take Exit 116 (which is I-77 north toward Charlotte). Stay on I-77 north and take the Decker Blvd Exit. Go straight 4 miles. Decker Blvd changes to Parklane Road at the Two Notch Road intersection, (Columbia Place Mall).The courts will be approximately 1 mile from the Two Notch Road intersection on the right.

Richland County Tennis Center, 7500 Parklane Road, Columbia, SC 29223 (803) 788-3001. Take Exit 73B (I-77 north toward Charlotte. Take the Parklane Road exit approximately 1 mile ahead on the right). Turn right onto Parklane road. The courts will be approximately 3/4 of a mile down on the left.
