IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ
All players and parents are to be at the Dr. Eddie Floyd - Florence Tennis Center for a mandatory 8:30am players/parents meeting. We recommend that you arrive no later than 8:15am to check in and allow your player time to get their tournament t-shirt.

DIRECTORS NOTE:
This is a one day tournament for juniors that are new to tennis and tournament play. Singles will be played in the morning with a break for lunch and then doubles for those that wish to play after lunch.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Players must be able to serve and keep score. Players are not eligible to play if they have accumulated more than 200 points.
|
|
PLAYING UP:
Players are not allowed to play up except in the 8 and under divisions. (8 and under can play up in the 10s)
|
|
MANDATORY MEETING:
There will be a meeting of all players and parents at 8:30am just prior to the beginning of play. Following the meeting matches will begin in Round Robin format.

8 and UNDER PLAY:
Court Size - 36’ Court
Racquet - Up to 23" long
Ball - 8 and Under Red low compression ball
Scoring: Best of 3 games - 1st to 7 points wins game - Players alternate serving 2 points
Format - Round Robin

10 and UNDER PLAY:
Court Size - 60’ Court
Racquet - Up to 25" long
Ball - 10 and Under Orange low compression ball
Scoring: 2 out of 3 shorts sets - first to 4 games (win by 2) - 7 point tiebreak at 4-4 - 7 point tiebreak for 3rd set
Format - Round Robin

12, 14, & 16 and UNDER PLAY:
Ball: 12 and Under Wilson Green Dot Ball - 14's & 16's Wilson US Open Ball
Scoring:8 game pro set with 7 point tiebreak at 7-7
Format: Round Robin

AMENITIES:
* Water and Gatorade (Provided by Pepsi) will be available during matches.
* Lunch will be provided for all participants.
* All participants will get a tournament t-shirt.

DOUBLES PLAY:
All players interested in playing doubles will be encouraged to sign up Saturday morning. After a break for lunch we will play doubles for all divisions that have enough players sign up.

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, March 11, 2013 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
