BIRTH CERTIFICATES/PROOF OFCITIZENSHIP
All players must have a Birth Certificate on
file in the Southern office for proof of US citizenship. Green cards will be

DOUBLES INFORMATION
This tournament will have doubles.
Doubles registration opens February 19 , and closes February 22. Doubles Players MUST sign up in the same age group in which they are accepted for singles.
Doubles play will begin on Friday afternoon at 5pm with two rounds. Format is an 8-game pro set, 10 point tie breaker at 8-all.
We do NOT partner players. It is the players responsibility to find a partner,
confirm the partnership, and then register by the doubles deadline. BOTH
partners must register and list their partner.

ONSITE ALTERNATES
Onsite Alternates must sign in with the referee. Any alternate desiring admittance must check in and be ready for
play no later than 15 minutes prior to the first scheduled match time of
the event for which they are an alternate. •If a default or withdrawal creates a vacancy in the draw, the alternate
who has signed in and is highest on the alternate list will fill the
vacancy. •The order of the alternates is based on the Alternate List
published by the tournament, not a more recent Southern Standings List,
and not in the order in which the players check in.

tournament will be at the main site, John Drew Smith
Tennis Center: 3280 N.
Ingle Place, Macon, Georgia 31210. Friday, March 1, registration: 2:30 PM until 7:30 PM
Saturday, March 2, registration: 7:00 AM until
12:00 PM (noon)
All players must register with the
tournament before checking in for their first match. If playing at another site
you must register at JDS before going to your first match site. Registration for the tournament is no excuse for being late for your match.
When you reach your match
site, check in to play at the tournament desk.

SEEDING
USTA SOUTHERN SINGLES SEEDING
CRITERIA: Seeding shall be done using the selection list which is based on the standing list immediately after the entry deadline of this tournament.
Players who have a standing in the next younger
age division MAY be seeded in any group of seeds as determined by the Southern Seeding Calculator.. Players selected into the 12s division based on their 10s
standing will not be considered for seeding. Players with current top 50 USTA
National standing, top 100 ITF ranking, top 10000 ATP or WTA rankings should be
considered for seeding.

SCORING AND FORMAT OF PLAY
64 Draw in Singles with Full Feed In
through the quarterfinals
All Main Draw matches will be best of three tie-break sets (new balls provided for the third set). Main draw Singles
matches will play 2 rounds on Saturday, 2 rounds Sunday, Semifinals and Finals on Monday. There will be a playoff for 3rd and 4th place.
All Consolation matches will be two tiebreak sets with a match tiebreak (10 Points) played at 1 set all. Consolation matches play one round on Saturday, three
rounds on Sunday and three rounds on Monday.

- The selected singles player list posted by 6 pm.
Tuesday, February 19/ Friday, February 22 - Doubles registration opens/closes. BOTH partners must enter online. Wednesday, February 20
- The ordered alternate lists posted by 6 pm.
Sunday, February 24
– After 11:59pm, NO Refunds will be given for withdrawals.
Monday, February 25
- The seed lists posted by 5 pm.
Wednesday, February 27
– First Match times posted by noon.

ENTERING TWO TOURNAMENTS
DO NOT enter two tournaments at the same time. How to avoid Penalties: If you
end up on the alternate list, you must withdraw from the alternate list first and
then enter the second event. Tournaments have different entry deadlines that will
allow you time to make changes.

Confirmation #, click "Locate Confirmation" just below

Stratford Academy (STRA) 6010 Peake Road, Macon, GA. 31220 Directions from JDS to Stratford from JDS: Take a right on to Northside Dr. Go about 100 yards and take a right on Riverside Dr. Go 4/10 mile and turn right onto Wimbish Road. Go 1.5 miles, then take a slight left onto Forest Hill Road (Forest Hill Rd is just past North Minster Drive). Go 6/10 of a mile and turn right onto Vineville Ave. Go 1.5 miles, and then turn left onto Tucker Road. Go 2.6 miles and turn right onto Peake Road. Go 4/10 mile, and then turn left into the Academy. You must go all the way around the school to reach the tennis courts parking.
Canongate at Healy Point (HP) 293 River North Boulevard, Macon, GA 31211 * Turn right on to Northside and then left on Riverside Dr. * At the light, turn right onto Arkwright Rd, travel 0.8 miles. * Turn right into the River North community (River North Blvd). * Continue 3 miles. * At first stop sign, turn right into Healy Point Country Club and follow signs to courts.
MERCER UNIVERSITY 1600 College Street, Macon, GA 31207 From JDS: Turn right on to Northside and then right on Riverside Dr. Take exit onto I-75. Continue on I-75 to Mercer University Drive exit. Take left back across interstate. Take left at College Street. Courts will be on the left. NOTE: College Street is a pedestrian street through Mercer's campus - you cannot drive from Tattnall to Mercer's court locations on College Street, although they are very close.

SELECTION CRITERIA
Entry will be based on selection criteria of 56 from the age group of
the event and up to 8 from the lower age group who do not get in the
first 56, and who are in the top 80 of the Southern standings in the
lower age group at the time of selection.

ENTERING TWO AGE DIVISIONS
Players are allowed to enter two divisions in Southern Level 3 and Bullfrog tournaments with these guidelines. #1.
Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will
automatically be selected in the older age division. They would be
removed from the other age division. #2. Players not selected to
either division would remain on the alternates lists for both division
but would be obligated to play the division they first get in from the
alternates list. They would be removed from the Alternates list in the
other division. #3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

REGISTERING FOR BG14 AND BG16
Players are allowed to register for both age divisions. Players should
register on both Macon and Norcross tournament sites. Credit cards
will only be processed for the age division for which you are selected.

LATE ENTRANTS - USTA Georgia will allow late entrants to be accepted into all USTA GA tournaments, Levels 1-5, in the event that the draw is not full, provided that such late entrants do not affect the seeding and further provided that late entrants do not prevent timely entrants to be accepted into the draw under any circumstances. Accepting late entrants is at the discretion of the Tournament Committee. Seeds must be posted by 12 noon following close of registration. Once draws are posted, the tournament is closed and can no longer accept late entries.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to specified residents only. Entries must be submitted by Sunday, February 17, 2013 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
