Dress Code
The Tournament committee has set A dress code in this Tournament The Rules to which all participants are expected to adhere. These Rules are based on our community standards and all participants must observe, all rules, at all of the sites used during the tournament. Good manners on and off the court will be required of all participants, coaches and family at all times.
Proper tennis attire should be worn. For females, proper attire does not include, roll down waist bands on skirts or shorts, or exposure of skin between tops and skirts or shorts. For males proper attire does not include tank tops or sleeveless shirts, or shorts worn below the waist. Shirts must be worn at all times. Please respect our standards and adhere to our rules. Failure to do so will result in the player being required to change prior to the match. This delay may result in penalties (PPS) being assessed .

Tournament Format
All singles draws will be one draw of 32.
Play will start on Friday night (6pm) with first round doubles matches. Singles will start on Saturday morning with two rounds of singles and one round of consolation followed by one round of doubles. Sunday will be two rounds of singles and two rounds of consolation followed by remaining doubles (one to two rounds). Singles finals and consolation semi's and finals will be on Monday.

Withdrawing from a match or Tournament/Refund Poli
A player shall not enter a tournament and then withdraw when the player discovers that tough opponents have also entered. A player may withdraw from a match or tournament only because of injury, illness, or personal emergency. A player who cannot play a match shall notify the Referee at once so that the opponent may be saved a trip. A player who withdraws from a tournament is not entitled to the return of the entry fee unless the player withdrew prior to the published refund deadline date.
In the event of inclement weather and you do not play any matches in this tournament you are entitled to a partial refund based on the fixed tournament expenses. Please understand that tournaments have fixed costs which include: Trophies, T-shirts, Balls, USTA Officials, and many other costs that we must cover. The tennislink portion of your entry fee is non-refundable in accordance with USTA policy. If you do complete a match there is no refund/credit. Thank you for your understanding.
Deadline for receiveing refunds is noon on Saturday Sept. 28, 2013.

Tournament Check in Tournament Dinner
All check in will be at Newman Tennis Center. Friday night from 4-8pm followed by doubles and Saturday morning at least 1 hour prior to your first match.
Player dinner will be at NTC Friday duing check in.

Doubles Team Deadline Noon Monday Sept. 29th<
If you have signed up online for doubles we still need all players and their partners to follow the procedures below to insure that you and your correct partner are paired and are in the doubles draw.
Doubles will start first on Friday Night the first day of the tournament. You must have a doubles partner submited to the tournament by NOON, Monday Sept. 29thth. A contact list is available to assist you in contacting others if you do not have a partner. Please follow the directions listed below.

Play Formate and Scoring
Draws will play a Full Feed in Consolation through the Quarters and 3/4 playoff. Main Draw and FIC will be the best of three sets playing a 10 point match tie-break in lieu of the third set. In the event of inclement weather, match format is subject to change. Boys and Girls 10's will be played on 60 foot courts, using 25 inch racquets (only) and two tone orange balls and short sets. Doubles will play an 8 game pro set with a match tie break at 8 all.

We are expecting 90% chance of rain on Monday (All Day). We have spoken with GTA and a decision has been made to allow Monday matches to be played today IF:
1. None of the players are playing doubles.
2. The match can be started by 5:30pm on Sunday.
If you and your opponet meet these criteria speak with the Referee to arrange your match.

GEORGIA LEVEL 2 TOUJRNAMENT.THIS TOURNAMENT WAS FORMALLY THE
GEORGIA STATE JUNIOR CLOSED HELD IN JULY! Boys/Girls 10s MUST play
all matches on a 60' court with a 25" racket and will use low
compression balls. T-shirts. SIGN UP FOR DOUBLES ONLINE - Doubles
play only will begin Friday after 6:00 pm. CONSOLATION - FIC
Singles & 3/4 Playoffs. JR. SUSPENSION POINT SYSTEM IN EFFECT.
Boys/Girls 12-18 will play with extra Duty Wilson Tennis Balls.
Online registration at www.usta.com. Players, parents and coaches
welcome. Players are encouraged to use Sponsor Hotels listed on the
Tournament Page. The hotels that support tennis in Augusta and
offer reduced room rates when you identify yourself as a tournament
player. Umpires - Roving. David Robinson-Referee. Scoring format -
Singles: Main draw - Regular scoring 2 out of 3 sets with a Match
Tie Break in lieu of the third set. In the event of inclement
weather Or extreme Heat an alternate scoring system will be
implemented. All BG10s Will use short scoring, and Consolation
matches will play best of 2 sets with 3rd set match tie-break.
Doubles: 8-game pro-sets with a match tie-break at 8-all and
Douibles will start on Friday Night. STATE CHAMPIONSHIP - This is a
State Championship tournament.
LATE ENTRANTS - USTA Georgia will allow late entrants to be accepted into all USTA GA tournaments, Levels 1-5, in the event that the draw is not full, provided that such late entrants do not affect the seeding and further provided that late entrants do not prevent timely entrants to be accepted into the draw under any circumstances. Accepting late entrants is at the discretion of the Tournament Committee. Seeds must be posted by 12 noon following close of registration. Once draws are posted, the tournament is closed and can no longer accept late entries.

Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Tuesday, September 24, 2013 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
