WWTA Cinco de Mayo Futures NC L5

We are planning to begin play today Sunday May 8th at 12pm. Courts are drying and rain has completely stopped for now.

Courts are currently soaked and unplayable. We are extending delay 1 MORE HOUR UNTIL 12PM. First matches will begin at 12pm Sunday if we receive no more rain. We are planning to update tournament homepage website by 10:45am with any additional updates/information. Thank you very much for your patience.

Currently it is raining steadily at the Cary Tennis Park. All courts are unplayable and play has been DELAYED 3 HOURS. First matches will be played at 11am today. There will be another website update by 9:45am today.

The QuickStart E8 tournament will begin at 1pm on Saturday, May 7th. All participants should plan to arrive no later than 12:45pm to register for event.

Required for all 10’s & 12’s playing in Futures tournaments. At least one parent or guardian of a child planning to enter the 10’s or the 12’s of Futures Tournaments, the 2010 Tar Heel Qualifier, and the 2010 North Carolina Junior State Closed must attend one session prior to the deadline of the tournament in order for the their child to be eligible to play in the above Players will not be allowed to participate without this viewing completed. The 10 and under Division will be played with the Orange Compression Ball on the 60 ft. court. Player's racquet can be no longer the 25 inches.
Scoring: 2 out of 3 short sets. 1st to 4 games with no-ad scoring, win by one. If they split sets they play a tiebreak for the 3rd.

The 12 and under division will use the Green Compression ball on the 78 ft. court.

From northwest of Cary to Cary Tennis Park:
• From Interstate 40 East, take exit #278 on the right. Go 0.2 miles.
• Turn right onto NC -55 South. Go 6.5 miles.
• Turn left onto Morrisville Carpenter Road. Go 0.1 miles.
• Turn right onto Carpenter-Upchurch Road. Go 1.5 miles.
• Turn left onto Louis Stevens Drive. Go 0.8 miles.

• On NC 55, cross US 1 at Apex and continue on NC 55. Go 6 miles.

• Turn left onto Upchurch Meadow Rd.
• Turn Right onto Louis Stephens Dr.

  From southeast of Raleigh to Cary Tennis Park:
• From Interstate 40 West coming into Raleigh, pass exit #301 and bear left onto I-40 West/I-440/Inner Beltline. Go 8 miles.
• Take exit #293A onto US 64 West / US 1 South (not north) Go 2 miles.
• Take the exit on the right onto Cary Parkway. Go 5 miles.
• Turn left onto High House Road.
• Turn right onto Davis Dr.
• Turn left onto Preston Village Way.
• Turn left onto Circle on the Green Dr.
• Turn left onto Upchurch Meadow Rd.
