On Site Alternate Procedure
On site Alternates should check in for play beginning at 8:00am.
If there is an opening in the draw, on site alternates that have signed in for play will be selected based on their position on the current Alternate list.

Alternates
Prior to Wednesday at noon, withdrawals will be filled with alternates from the state that the player withdrew from based on that states quota. Beginning Wednesday, June 15th at noon, the alternates will be based on Southern Standings. The list will be posted on the Alternates by Events list under Tournament Reports. The Alternates by Event list will be posted on noon June 15th and updated regularly thereafter.

ABOUT THE NIKE JUNIOR TOUR
The Nike Junior Tour (NJT) is a worldwide series of junior singles tournaments for Boys and Girls in the 12 and 14 age groups. There are currently 34 countries participating in the NJT, representing over 60,000 players. Former NJT International Masters participants include Rafael Nadal, Juan Martin Del Potro and Tomas Berdych. The winner(s) of this event will be invited to compete at the NJT USA National Masters in September at the Evert Tennis Academy, Sept 16-18. The NJT USA National Masters is a Level II USTA National event. Nike provides round trip transportation, food and lodging for the winner(s) (B14, B12, G14, G12) plus one team coach. The NJT USA National Masters winners advance to play in the NJT International Masters in December, at Club Med Sandpiper in Port St. Lucie FL. Expenses for the International Masters are paid for by Nike.

NIKE JUNIOR TOUR AGE ELIGIBILITY
NJT USA qualifying leads to the NJT International Masters where 33 countries participate. Therefore, to be eligible for the NJT USA National Masters and the NJT International Masters, players must meet the ITF (International Tennis Federation) age eligibility cutoff date of December 31st. Example: If you are currently 14, but will turn 15 on or before December 31, 2011, you may play in the Section Championship in the 14's but WOULD NOT BE ELIGIBLE to compete in the 14’s at the NJT USA National Masters or the International Masters. Players should consider the ITF age eligibility to determine which age group to enter if they want to be eligible to go on to the NJT USA National Masters or International Masters.

Medical Release Waiver
USTA requires a medical release SIGNED BY THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN for every player. This form must be presented at the time of the tournament registration. Players are not allowed on the court without this release.

Birth Certificates/Proof of Citizenship
All players must have a Birth Certificate on file in the Southern office for proof of US Citizenship. Green Cards will be accepted. Passports are not accepted. To verify you are on the list, click here.

Entries and Selections
All players must enter through the TennisLink On-line Registration. Players may enter only one division even though each age division is at a different site and listed as a separate tournament on the schedule. Players should play in the age division they are seeking Southern Endorsement. Fourteen of the selections will be based on the most current Southern Standings of the age division only. (No selections based on the younger age group). All other selections are based on the quotas and endorsements of the States.

Doubles Registration
Click on the link to go to the page to register for doubles. Only accepted singles players should register for doubles.
In order to make it easier and more efficient for players, we have set up another tournament ID and homepage just for doubles entries.
Entries for doubles will open on June 14 and the deadline for doubles entries is June 18 at 1pm Eastern time. The tournament will not partner players for doubles. All players are responsible for finding his or her own partner. Players must sign up on the doubles tournament homepage before the doubles deadline. BOTH PARTNERS MUST SIGN UP ONLINE BEFORE THE DOUBLES DEADLINE.

Withdrawals
Prior to the deadline, players should withdraw on-line. Players should note all rules on withdrawing from a tournament. All withdrawals must be in writing by e-mail or fax. No refunds will be made for players withdrawing after tournament selections.
Alternates wishing to enter another tournament should withdraw from the Alternates list before entering another tournament. Alternates are not charged the entry fee unless they are selected into the main draw.

Player Check In, Pizza and Meeting
Player check in is available at the Cary Tennis Park from 4:30-6pm on Friday, June 17th.
At 5:30pm, pizza will be served for all event participants.
There will be a brief player meeting at 6pm following the player check in and Pizza.
This is not a mandatory meeting. In the event you cannot make the check in or meeting. Check in will be available at the Cary Tennis Park throughout the event.
MEDICAL RELEASE WAIVER-You must bring your medical release waiver to the site of your first match and turn it in when you check in for play. That means if your first match is not at the Cary Tennis Park, you can go directly to your site with your waiver and play your match. Then, you can check in at the Cary Tennis Park at your leisure to get your player packet.

Seeding Guidelines
Seeding Guidelines are as follows based on seeding guidelines developed by the Southern Section:
The most recents Southern Standing list was used for seeding with the following considerations-
Players with a national standing in the top 50 were considered for a 1-4 seed
Players with a national standing 51-100 were considered for a 5-8 seed
Players with a high southern standing in the lower age division will be considered for seeding based on the Older Standing Range. For example, if the top 30 Seeds are all ranked top 30 in the south then they have an older Standing Range of 1-30. The #1 and #2 players in the lower age division will be considered for one of the 32 seeding spots. If the top 30 Seeds are all ranked top 40 in the south, then the #1,#2 and #3 players in the lower age division will be considered for one of the 32 seeding spots and so on....

Parking-NO PARKING ON LOUIS STEPHENS DRIVE
IT IS ILLEGAL TO PARK ON LOUIS STEPHENS DRIVE.
Parking is available in the Cary Tennis Park main parking lot, the Green Hope Elementary School Lot located across the street and the North Parking lot located on the North end of the Cary Tennis Park.

Player Party Sunday, June 19th
The Player Party will begin Sunday, June 19th @ 5:30pm at the Green Hope Elementary School Park, located across the street from the Cary Tennis Park. Activities will include:

Basketball
Inflatable Slide
Moonwalk
Dunk Tank!!...Bring your swim suit...and Parents are welcome to join in the fun!
Tie Dye Station
Music and Food
Hotdogs, Hamburgers, potato chips, baked beans, potato salad, slaw,drinks and water
All Tournament Participants will receive a ticket for one shaved ice sno-ball....

Events
Boy's and Girl's Singles (128 compass draw) with playoffs 1st thru 6th place. Each player is guaranteed multiple matches.
The Boys and Girls doubles will be a 64 draw, with a 3/4 play-off

Format
Singles format is 2 out of three tie-break sets with a match tiebreak in lieu of a third set.
Doubles format is an 8 game pro-set. Doubles finals and 3/4 play-off is 2 out of three tie-break sets with a match tiebreak in lieu of a third set.
