Match Locations
Please check the draws and schedule carefully to determine which at which site your match is to be played.
|
|
Match Format
All main draw matches will be no-ad scoring with a deciding match tie-break in lieu of a 3rd set for the first rounds. Semi finals will play ad scoring with a tie-break for 3rd set, with the same format for finals in U10, 12, and 14. U16 and U18 matches will play full ad scoring, and best of three tie-break sets, for the final match.
|
|
Consolation Matches
Consolations will be scheduled later tonight but some matches will be dependant upon whether or not seeded players win or lose their first round. Please check with the Official on site after your first match loss to confirm you WILL be playing consolations. They should be able to give you an approximate time if not an exact time.
Consolations matches will use a pro-set format for all rounds except for the finals. Consolation finals will play no-ad scoring with a deciding match tie-break for 3rd sets.
Please remember that all matches count for rankings in our head to head ranking system.

Tournament Seeding
Tennis Canada is in the process of auditing all the junior national rankings, and have not yet included ranking points for the results of any matches after December 1, 2009. While we would prefer to follow in entirety the posted rankings, some match data from the Hollyburn Junior Winter Classis has been considered for seeding in this tournament. Please remember that the sole purpose of seeding is to separate players of merit from meeting in the early rounds of the event, and in no way should be considered a prediction of who will win the event.
