2011 NO QUIT Award Winner Ronnie Schneider of Bloomington, INTournament Background and NO QUIT Award Mr Agassi has teamed up with Marty Hennessy to host the 2011 Mike Agassi "NO QUIT" Championships. Marty Hennessy has been running this tournament for over 25 years. All the Agassi's have played it. Now, Mr. Agassi invites you to come to join him as he watches you battle it out and most of all, never, ever quit. Mike Agassi was born poor in Iran where he defined the "NO QUIT" spirit becoming an Olympic boxer and then defecting to America. Training his son to become one of the best players of all time, Mike Agassi has helped make popular "taking the ball on the rise." Concepts of the modern day ball machine are a result of his genius, as well. Most of all he is a kind and decent man. Come meet Mr. Agassi and show him your character. At Mike Agassi's "NO QUIT" Championships character is everything. The Mike Agassi "NO QUIT" award goes to the one player that displays an unbridled willingness to never quit.

Directions to sites from Hilton, Darling, etc. Routes use surface streets and avoid interstates. The directions may not be what your GPS recommends, but they limit the numbers of turns. Interstates and limited-access highways are avoided because they have the potential to create delays from which you cannot escape. The travel times may be longer, but it's easier to recover from a missed turn on surface streets.

Player Reponsibilities when entering Concurrent Tournaments If a computerized selection process is not in place by the time selections are made, a manual process similar to this will be implemented: Players may enter an age group event at up to 4 sites, if they wish. After the deadline tournaments will select players based on their national standings. Tournaments must assume that all who entered want to play at their site. Sometime after 3:00pm PDT on Sunday October 2 selection lists will be posted on the USTA website (www.usta.com/juniorcompetition), showing all those accepted at each site. [NOTE: The USTA has sole control of this publication. It may be delayed, but there is nothing that the tournament can do to accelerate the process.] Players selected for multiple sites will be given until 2:00pm PDT on Wednesday October 5 to notify each site of their intention to play or withdraw. If you are accepted as a competitor to one or more sites, you must withdraw, as a competitor or alternate, from all tournaments that you entered and do not plan to play. If you withdraw from this tournament, email your withdrawal to 2011noquit@goodsports.us and put the word "withdrawal" in the SUBJECT line to ensure that your withdrawal is received and processed. After 2:00pm PDT on Wednesday October 5, credit cards will be processed for those still in each tournament. Any player failing to notify the tournament of their withdrawal by 2:00pm PDT Wednesday, October 5, WILL NOT RECEIVE A REFUND, regardless of reason. Vacancies created by these withdrawals will be filled with alternates. Ordered alternate lists will be published after the withdrawal period expires and entries are processed. For USTA comment on the process click "more info".
