MANDATORY PLAYER MEETING, REGISTRATION,AND DOUBLES SIGN-UP
Registration for all players will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2011 from 1:30pm-2:15pm at the Polo Club followed by a mandatory meeting and orientation from 2:15pm-2:45pm. At this time, players will confirm their doubles partner and/or have the opportunity to find a doubles partner.

TOURNAMENT ENTRY FEE
If you had problems with your credit card payment, you will need to bring cash or a traveler's check to the the Mandatory Meeting at the Polo Club on Saturday, July 16th. Traveler's checks should be made payable to Jean Mills/USTA Girls National 12s Clay Court Championships in the amount of $124.13 for one event $124.63 for two. NO PERSONAL CHECKS OR CREDIT CARDS WILL BE ACCEPTED!

DRAW TIMES
All match times will be given out at the mandatory meeting at the Polo Club (main club house in the Laurels Room) on Saturday at 2pm. It will be posted on the website by 6pm, Saturday, July 16, 2011

Opening Ceremonies
An Olympic style opening ceremony will be held Saturday, July 16th at 5:30pm (weather permitting) on court 11 at the Polo Club. Rehearsal for the ceremonies will be held at 5:00pm. ALL PLAYERS MUST WEAR WHITE shorts/skirts and the official tournament t-shirt (provided during registration).

Dress Code
Proper tennis attire is required at the Polo Club. Tennis themed t-shirts are acceptable and smooth soled tennis shoes are required for clay courts. White shorts or skirts are REQUIRED ONLY for the opening ceremonies.

Match Format
The tournament will host 128 players with the modified compass singles draw and a 64 single elimination doubles draw. There will be a 3rd/4th play-off for singles and doubles.

Alternate Information
The alternate list shall be posted after the registration deadline.
Replacing of Player Before Draw is Made: The tournament committee shall replace a player who was accepted as part of a Section's quota with the next player on the Section's endorsement list. The tournament committee shall replace a player who was NOT accepted as part of a Section's quota with the next highest remaining alternate
Replacing of Player After Draw is Made, but Before the Completion of the 1st Round: The tournament committee shall replace a player after the draw is made, but before the completion of the 1st round with the next highest remaining alternate... No Replacement of Players is Made After the Completion of the 1st Round: No players are replaced in the draw after the completion of the 1st round. For example, a player who wins their 1st round, but cannot play their 2nd round due to injury, is NOT replaced with an alternate. Player Camp
The Polo Club will host a warm-up camp featuring drills in the morning from 9:00am-11:00am and practice sets in the afternoon from 1:00pm-3:00pm begining on Thursday, July 14th-Saturday, July 16th. The purpose of this camp is to familiarize players with the clay courts, the humidity and give all players an opportunity to play sets against each other. The fee is $60.00 per day (morning & afternoon sessions) or $40.00 per session. Please call the Polo Club Tennis Shop at 561-995-1260 to sign up.

Practice Courts
Practice Courts are available Wednesday, July 13-Saturday, July 16 by calling the tennis shop at 561-995-1260. Starting Sunday, July 17 through the duration of the tournament, all practice courts will only be booked at the tournament desk on a first come-first served basis. Players having scheduled matches will be given priority. Court #'s 9-30, (west side of canal) will be open for practice Sunday, July 17-Friday, July 22 from 7:00am-8:00am.

Private Housing
The tournament offers limited private housing for players only. If you need housing, please contact Jean Mills, Tournament Director, at 561-613-2383.

Entry Fee Refund Policy
The Tournament Commmittee will refund the player's entry fee if:
1. The entry is not accepted
2. The withdraw is for previously authorized entry into another tournament
3. The tournament committee receives written verification no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament that the wildraw is for injury, illness or personal emergency.
Injury or Illness Written Verification Requirement
1. If the player is not playing because of an injury or illness, the player shall deliver written verification of the injury or illness from a medical professional to the referee no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament.
Personal Emergency Written Verification Requirement
1. If the player is not playing because of a personal emergency, the player shall deliver a written decision of the situation no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament and the referee shall determine whether the situtation is a personal emergency
2. In all other cases, a refund is not required.

This event is restricted to the following Jr. players: U.S. Citizens; Permanent Resident Aliens; Diplomats, Refugees/Asylees; CTA. Refer to USTA Regulation III.A.2a.

Players are selected from a variety of National Lists and generally require Section endorsement.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. To see how entrants will be selected, follow the “Selection Process” link to the left. It is the player’s responsibility to check the selection list(s) after registering online to be sure that a check mark appears beside the player’s name on the list, in order to insure proper registration. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, June 23, 2011 11:59:00 AM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
