INDIVIDUAL FIRST MATCH
TIMES
There are no matches scheduled
for Friday night. INDIVIDUAL FIRST MATCH TIMES can be viewed by
clicking on the link above. PLAYERS- please check-in at the
tournament desk at least 15 minutes prior to your first scheduled
match so that we know you are on site and will be ready to play
when your match is called. PLEASE GIVE YOURSELF ADEQUATE TRAVEL
TIME SO THAT YOU ARE NOT LATE - THERE IS NO GRACE PERIOD FOR
LATENESS TO A MATCH. The tournament desk will be located in the
upper level of the west wing of the tennis center (between courts
10 and 11). This is a USTA-sanctioned tournament and USTA officials
will be on site during all match play. DRAWS will be posted on this
site and at the Midland Community Tennis Center by 5:00 p.m. on
Thursday, December 8.

GENERAL TOURNAMENT
DETAILS
For ranking purposes, this is a
USTA/Midwest Level 6 Tournament. Players may enter one age division
only. Depending on the number of entries some matches may be
scheduled for Friday evening, December 9, not to start before 5:00
p.m. Players will need to be available to play if scheduled on
Friday night. DRAWS will be posted on this site and at the tennis
center by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 8. All tournament
entrants are guaranteed at least two matches, and all players will
receive a very cool complimentary tournament t-shirt!
IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING
MULTIPLE TOURNAMENT ENTRIES
PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY-- If
you sign up for two tournaments that run simultaneously, and you
have not received written authorization from both tournament
directors, the following USTA will apply: "The USTA Code of Conduct
and Suspension Point System is in effect for this tournament, and
players are expected to play the entire event as scheduled. Players
will be assessed five (5) suspension points for entering two or
more tournaments, matches or exhibitions scheduled to take place at
the same time, in whole or in part, unless each tournament director
agrees to the multiple entries in writing."
DRAW AND SCORING
FORMAT
This tournament will feature a
First Match Consolation draw format. Players who lose their first
match will be entered into the consolation draw. Players are
expected to play and complete all scheduled matches. Scoring format
will be two out of three tiebreak sets with a 10-point Match
Tiebreak in lieu of a full third set. This tournament is
USTA-sanctioned and USTA Officials will be onsite throughout play.
The USTA Point Penalty System will be in effect, which includes
being late for a match. Please give yourself adequate travel time -
there is no grace period for lateness.

LATE ENTRIES
Late entries will be considered
if there is room in the event and if the draws have not been made.
A $5.00 processing fee in addition to the entry fee will apply to
late entries accepted into the tournament. Please contact the

Withdrawals
If you need to withdraw from the
tournament BEFORE entries close, please do so on this site, using
the "Edit Registration" link in the left column of this page. All
tournament withdrawals made AFTER entries close must be submitted
in writing to Wendy Franz at franz@midlandtennis.com, and must
include player name, USTA number, and a detailed reason for the
withdrawal. There will not be any entry fee refunds for withdrawals
received after 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, 12/7/11, AND, after that
time, all withdrawals for other than a bona fide reason will be
subject to suspension points according to USTA
regulations.
Player Selection TypeNo Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry TypeEntry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, December 5, 2011 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
