Welcome!
This is an entry-level tournament sanctioned by USTA Georgia
as a Level 5 (no Southern points). Registration must be completed online. In
the future, you can jump straight to this tournament by entering the tournament

This tournament
begins at 1pm and finishes at 5pm. Each participant will receive a t-shirt. Email

Boys and Girls registered for 12 and under division will play on a full court with green dot balls.
Boys and Girls registered for 10 and under division will play on a 60’ court with orange balls.
USTA Georgia tournaments do not offer Orange Level 2
divisions. All players that register for Orange 2 will be automatically moved
to Orange 1 before the draws are posted.
Youth Progression (for
children ages 7-10)
If this is your child’s first time playing a tournament,

to activate their USTA number in the Youth Progression program. For more

Player selection
This tournament is open for junior players regardless of
ranking. You will receive an automated email if your player is selected and
your credit card is charged.
Late Entrants
USTA Georgia will allow late entrants to be accepted into
all USTA GA tournaments in the event that the draw is not full, provided that
such late entrants do not affect the seeding and further provided that late
entrants do not prevent timely entrants to be accepted into the draw under any
circumstances. Accepting late entrants is at the discretion of the Tournament
Committee. Seeds must be posted by 12 noon following close of registration.
Once draws are posted, the tournament is closed and can no longer accept late
entries.
Draws
Draws will be published by Friday. It is your responsibility
to check this tournament webpage for the players’ draws, match times and any
other updates.
Format for 8 and Under This tournament will also hold 36' Format for 8 and under. The 8U
divisions are geared to players with limited or no previous tennis experience.
The 8Uplayers cannot play in the 10U singles divisions and the 36’ Format for 8U
singles divisions in the same tournament (an 8U player can only play in one
singles division in a tournament).
Results for the 8U
tournaments will be included in the USTA GA Standings using the Points Per Round
Co-Ed 8 Table. Scoring for 8U events will be 2 out of three 7 point games. Only
results played in this format will count for this list.

The selection process will be as follows: Unranked players are selected first then ranked players are selected after that beginning with the lowest ranked player. A selection process only takes place if the number of participants entered outnumbers our court availability. We don't anticipate this being a problem as we have plenty of court availability.
Boys and girls 12s matches are best of 2 no-ad short sets (4 games) with a set tiebreaker (first to 7 points by 2) played if the set score is tied at 3 games all. Should the players split sets, the final set is a match tie-breaker (first to 10 points by 2). Coaching is not allowed

Boys and girls 10s matches are best of 2 no ad short sets (4 games) with a sudden death played at 3 games all. The winner of the next game wins the set. If the players split sets the final set is a 7 point tiebreaker. The first player to win 7 points wins the match. It is not necassary to win by 2. Adult monitoring and play supervision is permitted. No coaching is allowed.
Coed 8s are best 2 of 3 seven point games.Players spin for the serve to start the match and then alternate serving every 2 points. Sudden death is played at 6 points all. It is not necassary to win by 2 points. Players switch ends after each 7 point game. The player who recieved serve to start the game will serve to start the second game. Adult monitoring and play supervision is allowed and encouraged, but no coaching is allowed.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Tuesday, May 15, 2018 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
