WEATHER/TOURNAMENT UPDATE
10/21/18 8:05 AM- All draws have been updated, please check your age group to confirm your times. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early for your match time to help us stay on schedule. The matches that were on court will finish first with their original scoring. ALL new matches will play 2 out of 3 regular sets with a match tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set. We unfortunately will not be able to play out any of the consolation matches due to time and court availability, we apologize for not being able to do so. Our goal is to get all age groups through the main draw semis. We will not play out any finals as it would give most draws 4 matches which we will not do. To be fair to all age groups, we will complete the semis and not play out the finals. Thank you again for your patience and understanding, we look forward you in the morning. All 16s & 18s will be at Jeff Adams Tennis Center (JATC) and all 10s, 12s & 14s will be at Queens Sports Complex @ Marion Diehl (QSC) updating times for the draws so that is why that will not be able to be displayed online. We apologize for the inconvenience, but know that we will play as many matches as possible on Sunday. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Draw Limits
Each draw will be limited to 32 players with an Feed in thru Quarterfinals (FICQ) and a 3/4 playoff. Draws that are larger than 16 have been given permission to be waterfalled to accomodate the larger numbers. See below for more details.
Waterfall system- Taking cost and school day factors into account, this allows tournaments to be completed in just two days and provides players with the opportunity to earn more ranking points. Each division that has 24 or more players will be split into two separate draws. Players will then be "waterfalled" into two balanced draws based on the selection lists in the following order: Red: 1,4,5,8,9,12,13,16,17,20,21,24,25,28,29,32. White: 2,3,6,7,10,11,14,15,18,19,22,23,26,27,30,31. Selections will be made using the most up to date NC Standings. Seeds will be determined using NCTA Seeding Criteria after the waterfall is done. The format is FIC (Feed-In Consolation through QF). All matches will play a 10-point match tiebreaker instead of a full 3rd set. There will be a playoff for 3rd and 4th place. Consolation finals will NOT be played out. Both players who reach the finals of consolation will receive the same number of ranking points.

Selection Process
Players will be selected based on the most recent published NC standing list. Players
must have some standing points in order to be considered to compete in a
NC L3 tournament. If players do not have a standing, they should
compete in a NC L5 event. The names of players who have been selected will appear as “Competitors.”
after the tournament deadline when selections are made. Contact us immediately if you realize that you cannot participate.
