DRAWS
Draws have been posted for all events. All matches will be played at Jeff Adams Tennis Center (JATC) and Queens Sports Complex (QSC). Some divisions will play matches at one site the first day and then a different site the next day. PLAYERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR KNOWING WHEN AND WHERE EACH OF THEIR MATHCES ARE BEING PLAYED. LATENESS PENALTIES WILL BE STRICTLY ENFORCED. Draws are subject to change and it is the player's responsibility to check their first match times as well as their later round match times.

PLAYER CHECK IN
ALL PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN at their match site at least 30 minutes prior to their first scheduled match. To expedite check-in, please come prepared with the MANDATORY USTA Medical Release form completed signed by each player's parent/guardian.

USTA requires a medical release signed by the parent or guardian for every player prior to their first match. Please download, complete, and bring signed form to expedite player check-in. No player will be allowed on court without this form. Click on 'more info' to access a copy of this form.

WITHDRAWALS
Withdrawal prior to the entry deadline is the player's responsibility using TennisLink online. Anyone who withdraws after the registration deadline should email tournaments@charlottetennisassociation.com stating name, division, USTA number, and reason for withdrawal. Once the tournament begins, please call the Tournament Director or Referee AND send an email in the event of any withdrawals during the event..

PLAYING FORMAT & SCORING
The format will be a Feed In Consolation through the Quarters with a 3/4 playoff. The Feed-In Consolation will play through the Semifinals. The best two out of three sets with a 10 point match tiebreak in lieu of a third set will be played for all Boys and Girls 12s - 18s.

10U YOUTH PROGRESSION
This tournament is considered an Green L1 event for 10U players.

BOYS & GIRLS 10s FORMAT AND SCORING
For Boys and Girls 10s, the required scoring format for singles shall be the best of three short sets (first to four games and win by two), with a set tiebreak (first to seven points and win by two) at 4-4 in each set, and a set tiebreak (first to seven points and win by two) for the third set. Play will be on a standard 78' court with green low compression balls.

CONSOLATION
Consolation finals will not be played out, except for draws with only six to eight players. Draws with five or less players will play a round robin.

AWARDS
Awards will be presented to the winner, finalist, third and fourth place in each event.

OFFICIAL TENNIS BALL
The CTA will use Wilson tennis balls for this tournament. Please note that 10s will be playing with the green low compression ball.

PRACTICE COURTS
Courts are available for practice/warm-up on a first come basis at Park Road Park and Freedom Park. Directions to both locations will be provided at player check-in. There will not be any courts available at the tournament site during match play.
|
Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Thursday, February 22, 2018 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
