WELCOME!
This is an advanced-level tournament sanctioned by USTA
Georgia as a Level 3 (Southern Level 4 points). Registration must be completed online. In the
future, you can jump straight to this tournament by entering the tournament
identification number: 700027018 from the
searchable schedule homepage.
Player Gift to
all participants. Awards to winner, finalist, consolation winner and
consolation finalist of each event that has six or more players. Additional sites may be
used. Match times and tournament information can be accessed online by 2/15.
Boys and Girls registered for 12 and under division will play on a full court with yellow balls.
Boys and Girls 10 and under that are eligible for green balls in Youth
Progression will play on a full court with green dot balls. Boys and Girls 10 and under that are eligible for orange balls or new to Youth Progression will
play on a 60’ court with orange balls.
USTA Georgia tournaments do not offer Orange Level 2
divisions. All players that register for Orange 2 will be automatically moved
to Orange 1 before the draws are posted.
Youth Progression
(for children ages 7-10)
If this is your child’s first time playing a tournament,
please email Eva Marie McCravy (mccravy@ustageorgia.com) or Susan Pierce (pierce@ustageorgia.com)
to activate their USTA number in the Youth Progression program. For more

Player selection
This tournament is open for junior players regardless of
ranking. You will receive an automated email if your player is selected and
your credit card is charged.
Late Entrants
USTA Georgia will allow late entrants to be accepted into
all USTA GA tournaments in the event that the draw is not full, provided that
such late entrants do not affect the seeding and further provided that late
entrants do not prevent timely entrants to be accepted into the draw under any
circumstances. Accepting late entrants is at the discretion of the Tournament
Committee. Seeds must be posted by 12 noon 4 days prior to the start of the tournament. Once draws are posted, the tournament is closed and can no longer accept late
entries.
Draws
Draws will be published by Thursday at 5 pm. It is your
responsibility to check this tournament webpage for the players’ draws, match
times and any other updates.
Format
FIC with a 3/4
playoff in the main draw. Main and Consolation Draw BG12-18 - 2 out of 3
sets with a 3rd set tiebreaker played in lieu of a full third set. BG10 – short scoring with 3rd set match tie-break. Scoring may
be changed due to inclement weather. A round robin will be conducted if only
3-5 players in event.
Withdrawals and
Refund Policy
Entry fees will
be refunded ONLY if requests for refunds are received in writing (email or fax
to 478-477-1437 PRIOR to deadline. No refunds will be issued for any reason
after deadline date. If there are weather issues and no matches are played,
then you will get a 3/4 credit to another Middle GA Tennis tournament. If there
are weather issues and you only play one match, then you will get a 1/2 credit
to another Middle GA Tennis tournament.

ALTERNATE LIST
If you end up on the alternate list and decide to register for another tournament, you must let the tournament director know prior to entering the other tournament, so she can withdraw you from this tournament. Please email her at info@middlegeorgiatennis.com .USTA GA rules will not allow you to be registered in two tournaments at the same time. You will incrue suspension points if you fail to follow this rule.

WITHDRAWING FROM TOURNAMENT
Withdrawal After Entry Deadline: Immediately contact the Tournament Referee to withdraw from the tournament. You must email your withdrawal to info@middlegeorgiatennis.com. In the email subject line include WITHDRAWAL, your name, and division. DO NOT call to withdraw. There are no refunds after entries close. Withdrawing During the Tournament: You must get approval from the Head Referee in person. If not, it will count as a "No Show." WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY WITHDRAWALS OVER THE PHONE! Please send an email as soon as possible if you are withdrawing from your next match so we can try to contact your opponent promptly.

MEDICAL RELEASE FORM
PLEASE DOWNLOAD AND BRING WITH YOU. You must turn in your completed form to the player gift/medical release form desk BEFORE checking in for your match. You may also send us your online medical release form using the Match Tennis app.

Trophies will be given for 1st and 2nd place in the main and consolation draw.

WARM UP DRILLS
Warm-up drills will be offered on Saturday and Sunday at 7am-8am and 8am-9am

CHECK IN PROCEDURE (Please read carefully)
Check-in will begin with your first match. There will not be a Friday evening check-in. Procedure: There will be two check-in tables; Player Gift table and a match check-in table. Players may do either first. If the player needs to use the bathroom, get ice/water, please do so first before checking in for match. Turn in medical form when checking in for your match. Once checked in for match, the players needs to stay within hearing distance.

DRAWS RULE
Please remember that USTA only allows us to move a player in a draw if they are in the same half as a sibling, or if a seed withdraws, and we have to redo the seeds.. The computer generates the draw. We cannot manipulate the draw to accommodate friends and players who train together. Thank you for your understanding of this rule.

APPROVED AMENDMENT FOR SELECTIONS
Counting Points Up effective Jan. 1, 2017 To align with USTA National and Southern, USTA Georgia Junior Competition Committee has approved an amendment that will affect how Georgia standings will be calculated. Beginning January 1, 2017, the singles and doubles results for each player earned in a division for the previous 12-month period shall be counted as results in the next-older division at 20%. As such, players will no longer be considered for selection based on their lower age division standings. 10& UNDER ORANGE BALL PLAYERS
Maximum 25" racquet played on the 60' court with orange balls. Scoring shall be short sets with sudden death: 4-game no-ad sets in which it is not necessary to win the set by 2 games (example: a 4-3 set score is acceptable). A 7-point "Match" tie-break is played in lieu of a third set.

10 & UNDER GREEN LEVEL INFORMATION
The 10U division Green Level 1 - Boys and Girls 10's will play on the 78 foot court using Green Low Compression Balls and up to 29" racquet. The required scoring format for 10's singles matches, shall be the best of TWO short sets - Ad Scoring (first to four(4) games and win by two e.g 4-0, 4-1 4-2, or 5-3), with a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) at 4-4 in each set. A match tiebreaker (first to seven (7) and win by two) in lieu of the third set.

RACQUET STRINGING INFO
Stringers will be available at the main site (JDS). Racquets can be dropped off Friday evening until 7pm. Pick-up and drop-off each day of the tournament will be between 7am-5pm. Payment must be made at the time of drop-off.

A trainer WILL NOT be available for this tournament

We are accepting on-site alternates. Please check in with the referee when you arrive at JDS.

SPLIT SETS INFO
Consolation Round - When using a 10 point tiebreaker in lieu of the full 3rd set, there will be a mandatory 3 minute break. An official must be notified at this time. Coaching is allowed during this time. If the 3 minutes expires and player has not returned to court, the match is over.
