LEVEL FIVE TOURNAMENTS -- PLAYER ELIGIBILITY
The LEVEL FIVE events are designed as introductory events to competitive tennis for those players who are new to tennis or are looking to gain experience in a tournament atmosphere. ***** These one-day events are round-robin format with emphasis being placed on fun, match play, and education of parents and players. ***** Eligibility requirements for this circuit include a USTA membership, and players should be able to serve and keep score.

THIS TOURNAMENT IS A 10U YOUTH PROGRESSION EVENT
Please be aware that this tournament is a 10U Youth Tennis Progression event.
This means that in order to play in the 10U division offered you must be in the corresponding level. If you are not able to register for 10U singles that means you are not eligible for that level of 10U.

IMPORTANT MESSAGES FOR PLAYERS AND PARENTS
PLAYER/ PARENT ORIENTATION MEETING SATURDAY 8:30AM
STARTING TIME - ALL MATCHES ARE SATURDAY MARCH 10.
THE PARENTS/PLAYER MEETING WILL BE AT 8:30AM. PLAYERS in EACH EVENT at least ONE PARENT must attend PLAYER/PARENT MEETING AT 8:30AM AT LCTC. ****
Round robin matches with SHORT SETS FORMATS FOR ALL EVENTS will begin at 9:00AM. **** Events will play two rounds, then have lunch, and play last rounds after lunch, finishing around 2:00pm. **** Lunch for players begins at 11:30AM. ****
MATCH PLAY FORMAT & COURTS - BALLS - RACQUETS *****There will be multiple matches in a round robin format for novice boys and girls ages 8-18 years.
A short set scoring format will be used for the 8s and 10s, and the 12s-14s-16s-18s.*****
The 10U events will use the standard singles format recommended by the SCTA; two no ad short sets first to 4 games by 2 games; tiebreak at 4 games all (first to 7 points by 2); if split sets play a 7 point tiebreak as the 3rd set.
The 12s, 14s, 16s and 18s events will play a short set format of multiple matches. Short set scoring will used based on the number of entries in the events.

One day entry level tournament for players new to tennis 8 and
10s will use the modified courts and balls.
South Carolina Tournament Level-5 Rising Stars: All parents must complete the "Parenting My Champion" sportsmanship video before their player participates in this level tournament.
