Please print out the Southern Medical Release form at home. Prior to arrival at the tournament, complete all required information including parent/guardian signature. Bring with you to the tournament check-in desk on Friday.

PLAYER FIRST MATCH CHECK-IN
All players must initially check in at the Family Circle Tennis Center at least one half hour PRIOR to their first scheduled match. First matches will begin at 5:00 pm on Friday for doubles and 8:00 am on Saturday morning for singles. Early check-in is encouraged and will be available on Friday, February 16th from 3:00 pm until 7:00 pm. If you do not arrive on Friday before 7:00 pm, you MUST check in at Family Circle Tennis Center at least one half hour prior to your first match. After initial check-in, all players should report directly to designated sites for scheduled matches. MANDATORY USTA and FAMILY CIRCLE TENNIS CENTER RELEASE forms must be signed by each player's parent/guardian prior to first match

SEEDING AND SELECTION
Seeding shall be done using only the results from most recently published USTA Southern Combined Standings Lists of the division in the order in which players appear on the list. Players selected on their 10s standing shall not be considered for seeding in the 12s division.
Doubles Seeding Criteria: Teams shall be seeded in the order of their combined standings (e.g., Player A holds the #1 standing and Player B holds the #10 standing. The Team of A & B would have combined standing of 11.) Teams that have the same combined standing shall be seeded by the by the highest singles seed of the four (4) players.

ENTERING TWO DIVISIONS
Players are allowed to enter two divisions in Southern Levels 1A, 2, and 3 tournaments. 1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected in the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division. 2. Players not selected to either division would remain on the alternates lists for both division but would be obligated to play the division they first get in from the alternates list. They would be removed from the Alternates list in the other division. 3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. 4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

WATERFALL PROCESS FOR SPLITTING COMPETITORS
Thirty-two (32) players will be selected for each event (see selection process headline) and then be split into two Draws of 16 players using the Waterfall System for selection. If a draw has 23 players or less, then a single 32-draw will be played with feed-in through the quarterfinals. Seeding will be made prior to the players being split. The 32 players will be split as follows. Red Draw: 1, 4, 5, 8, 9, 12, 13, 16, 17, 20, 21, 24, 25, 28, 29, 32 White Draw: 2, 3, 6, 7, 10, 11, 14, 15, 18, 19, 22, 23, 26, 27, 30, 31

FORMAT AND SCORING
BG12-18s: All Singles draws will play the best two out of three tie-break sets with a Match tie break in lieu of the third set, with a Full Feed in Consolation through the Quarterfinals and 3/4 playoff. The Finals of the Consolation Draw will not be scheduled and will not be played.
BG10s: Boys and Girls 10s will play on the regular 78' court, using Green Ball or 60' court for Orange Ball. The required scoring format for 10s singles matches shall be the best of two short sets with NO AD scoring (first to four (4) games and win by two), with a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) at 4-4 in each set, and a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) in lieu of the third set.
NEW DOUBLES FORMAT APPROVED BY SOUTHERN FOR 2018 BG12-18s: All Doubles draws will be a 6-game set with ad scoring and a 7-point tiebreak at 6-all. Doubles players MUST play in the same division in Doubles as they were selected for Singles. BG10s: All Doubles draws will be a 6-game set with NO AD scoring and a 7-point tiebreak at 6-all.

MATCH LIMIT PER DAY
BG14s - 18s may play no more than four matches per day [3 Singles and 1 Doubles OR 2 Singles and 2 Doubles OR 3 Doubles and 1 Singles] No one may play 4 Singles in one day. BG12s may play no more than three matches per day [3 Singles and 0 Doubles OR 2 Singles and 1 Doubles OR 3 Doubles and 0 Singles].

WITHDRAWALS (READ CAREFULLY)
Go to the Tournament website under "EDIT REGISTRATION" on the right side of your screen and click "Withdraw". If you do not know your Confirmation #, then click "Locate Confirmation" just below "Withdraw." We cannot withdraw you, you must do this yourself. You will lose the entry fee if you do not withdraw online before registration closes.
Withdrawal After Entry Deadline: Immediately contact the Tournament Referee to withdraw from the tournament by emailing megphotogirl@aol.com. In the email subject line include WITHDRAWAL, your name, and division. DO NOT call to withdraw. If the player is not playing because of an injury or illness, the player shall provide written verification of the injury or illness from a medical professional no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament. There are no refunds after entries close. All withdrawals for reasons other than illness, injury, and personal circumstances or withdrawals for any reason without the proper written notification are actually defaults and Code of Conduct Reports will be completed for each defaulting player even though an alternate may take that defaulting player’s place in the draw.
Withdrawing During the Tournament: You must see the trainer and get approval from the Head Referee in person. If not, it will count as a "No Show." WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY WITHDRAWALS OVER THE PHONE! If the player is not playing because of an injury or illness, the player shall provide written verification of the injury or illness from a medical professional no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament OR a visit with the onsite trainer will suffice.

DANIEL ISLAND (PARK) CLUB (DI) 715 Island Park Drive From the Family Circle Tennis Center parking lot, turn right. Go about a 1/8 of a mile and make your next right turn at the light onto Island Park Drive. Go straight through two round-abouts. Take next right into the Park Club. Tennis courts on your left. DANIEL ISLAND CLUB DRESS CODE Proper tennis attire is required. If you are scheduled for matches at the DI Club, you cannot wear a cotton tee shirt on the tennis courts. Dry fit crew neck and collared tennis shirts are allowed. No outside food is allowed.

From Family Circle Tennis Center, turn left onto Seven Farms Drive. Go ¼ mile to the stoplight and make a right hand turn onto River Landing Drive. This road will take you onto I-526 going east. Go 3 miles and take the Long Point exit. Make a left at the light. Go to the 4th stop light (1/2 mile) and turn right onto Whipple Road. Continue straight turning right at 2nd traffic light onto Mathis Ferry Road. Live to Play will be on the left.

Continue straight for 6 miles through Mount Pleasant before crossing over the Ravenel Bridge into Charleston. Take the 17 South ramp towards Savannah, bear left in the fork. Stay straight on 17 bear left to go over Ashley River bridge. Bear slight left to turn left on Albemarle Road.

Progression event. This means that in order to play in the 10U division offered
you must be in the corresponding level. If you are not able to register for 10U
