Trainer:
A trainer will be located at Lake Charles Racquet Club. A trainer is not a doctor. By rule and law, the trainer cannot give you medicine.

Court time before 8am:
McMurry Park - 7:05am Ward 3 - 7:05am Lake Charles Racquet Club - 6:45am Lake Charles Racquet Club Clay courts - no availability before matches.
Please be courteous by sharing courts and giving up courts if you have been there awhile and other are waiting

Starting the day for parents:
We will have donuts and coffee for the parents 7:30-9:30am, Saturday and Sunday, at Lake Charles Racquet Club.

Coaching after split sets:
Coaching is allowed after the 2nd set, before a match tiebreaker in the 12-18 year old divisions. There is no coaching in the 10s age group before the tiebreak for the 3rd set.

Practice Courts:
Practice courts during the tournament - Barbe High School and McNeese State University (for McNeese only before 11am). These courts are public courts and are first come first serve to the entire general public.

Check-in is at the Lake Charles Racquet Club from 4:00-8:00 Friday and 8:30-1:00 on Saturday

Withdrawal from tournament:
If a player needs to withdraw from the tournament, please email the tournament director, Bobby Walker at bobby.walker@lcracquetclub.com. An email should be received from the tournament director as confirmation. There are no refunds after the entry deadline has passed.

Medical Release Form:
The USTA Southern Section requires a
signed release covering all entrants in USTA Southern Section events. The
release must be signed by the entrant and parent or guardian of any entrant who
is a minor.

Selection:
Selection

USTA Southern will provide selection
list. Players will be selected directly from the USTA Southern Standing list in
the age division in which they apply. Players will no longer be considered for
selection based on their lower age division standings.

10 Division Scoring for Green Low Compression Division
The 10U division will be Green Level 1
within the new Youth Progression system parameters. Boys
and Girls 10's will play on the 78 foot court using Green Low Compression Balls and up to
29" racquet. The required scoring format
for 10's singles matches, shall be the best of two short sets - Ad Scoring (first to four (4) and win by two),
with a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) at 4-4 in each set, and
a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) in lieu of the third set.
NO COACHING ALLOWED
FOR 10’S DIVISIONS BECAUSE OF SHORT SETS & 7-PT MATCH TIEBREAK.

ALTERNATES
Alternates By Event report will be updated daily. Contact us immediately if you find that you are unable to attend, so other alternates can move up. It is the alternates' responsibility to check the website to determine if your alternate status has changed. The tournament will make every effort to contact you if you are accepted in to the draw. Make sure that your USTA membership profile, especially contact phone numbers and email addresses, are correct so that we may contact you. The tournament will not be responsible for outdated contact information. ONCE SELECTED FOR PLAY, PAYMENT IS DUE IMMEDIATELY. PLAYERS WHO HAVE NOT PAID THEIR ENTRY FEE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED ON THE COURTS.

ALTERNATES ON SITE
On-site Alternates should report to the Tournament Desk at the Lake Charles Racquet Club at least one hour before their age/gender group is scheduled to play. On-site Alternates will be selected in the order of the Alternates' List. Again, if selected for play, payment is due immediately.

WITHDRAWALS If you need to withdraw before entries close, you must do so online. Click on "Edit Registration", then "Withdraw". You will need your original confirmation number. All withdrawals after entries close must both be sent in writing by email to bobby.walker@lcracquet.com and by phone to tournament site once the tournament has started. Players withdrawing after the tournament deadline will not be refunded the entry fee.

Beginning January 1, 2012, all USTA Southern Level 3 tournaments will adhere to a set and consistent format. Taking cost and school day factors into account, the Junior Competition Committee has determined that the Level 3 tournaments will be conducted as follows:

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
