Selection Process
USTA Southern will provide the selection list. Players will be selected directly from the USTA Southern Standing list in the age division in which they apply. Players will no longer be considered for selection based on their lower age group. Each group of 32 players selected from each age group will be divided into two draws of 16 each. We will be using a waterfall system to make sure each of the two draws are balanced by strength. A change to this process is that prior to splitting players using the waterfall system, the players selected from the younger age group will be placed in their proper position based on strength. The 32 players were split as follows: Red 1,4,5,8,9,12,13,16,17,20,21,24,25,28,29,32. Blue 2,3,6,7,10,11,14,15,18,19,22,23,26,27,30,31.
