L5 Eligibility Information BG 12s-18s
Players
will be selected based on the most recent end of month's published NC standing
list. Players cannot have standing in
the top 100 in their respective age division. The
names of players who have been selected will appear as “Competitors” after the
tournament deadline when selections are made.

Sportsmanship Reminder

during registration in the Event Communications area. You may also do so on your "My Tennis

FYI, Communication is limited to 30 days after the close of the event
and to only the players who have opted in.

Rockingham County Tennis Association is excited to offer the
first Level 5 USTA sanctioned tournament in Rockingham County in
2017 sponsored by Allied Truck & Trailer Sales, Inc. of
Madison.
This tournament is designed for our local Junior Team Tennis
players to get their first tournament experience but is open to all
players who are new to tournament tennis.
All spring and Fall 2017 RCTA JTT players will be registered or
vouchered for this tournament as part of their team fee. Current
High School Players and any Junior Team Tennis member are eligible
for a FREE voucher from USTA NC to play in their first tournament.
Other players must register online for this event and pay the
tournament fee according to their age group.
Level 5 Junior tournaments are designed for players who are new to
tennis or are looking to gain valuable match play in a tournament
setting. Players must be USTA members. There are also ranking
restrictions, meaning that higher ranked players aren't allowed to
participate.

LOCATION:
Tournament matches will be held at 125 Jaycee Park Road in
Reidsville with back-up second facility at Rockingham Community
College. Both facilities have blended lines to make courts smaller
for 10&Under play. These two facilities are 8 miles or 15
minute drive from each other.
SCHEDULE:
Based on registration, tournament matches will begin on Saturday
and conclude on Sunday. Each registered player is guaranteed two
singles matches.
MATCH FORMAT:
Players 10&Over will play two tie-breaker sets with a match
tiebreak for the third set.
Players 10&Under will play best of 3 short-sets with a seven
point tiebreaker for the third set.
Players 8&Under will play best of 3 seven-point
tiebreakers.
COURT SIZE:
12 & Under players will use green dot balls on the 78 ft court.
10&Under players will play with orange balls on the 60 ft
court. 8&Under players will use red balls on the 36 ft
court.
Rockingham County Tennis Association, a 501c3 non-profit
corporation, is a USTA Community Tennis Association, and a
registered National Junior Tennis & Learning chapter. We
promote the growth of tennis in Rockingham County NC including the
cities of Eden, Madison, Mayodan, Reidsville, Stoneville and

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Tuesday, October 10, 2017 11:59:00 AM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
