REGISTRATION/CHECK IN (FRIDAY, November 10)
MEDICAL RELEASE FORMS ARE REQUIRED AND MUST BE TURNED IN PRIOR TO YOUR FIRST MATCH. Medical release forms will be available to fill out at all sites. Please print one off and bring to your first match to expedite the check in process. Tournament registration will be at The Charleston Tennis Center on Friday from 3-7:30pm. Please come by to pick up your tournament shirt on Friday evening. IF YOU OWE MONEY FOR ENTRY FEES AND DOUBLES IF YOU DIDN'T PAY ONLINE please contact Jonathan Barth at barth_jonathan@yahoo.com or (843)568-1468 to arrange payment by card. We are able to take cash or check only Saturday. Please bring your medical release to your first match and turn in when you arrive or you will have to fill one out when you arrive. YOU MUST CHECK IN 30 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR SCHEDULED MATCH TIME.

TOURNAMENT RULES
This tournament uses conduct rules above and beyond those enforced by the USTA. Players participating in tournaments at the facilities identified are required to abide by these facility rules of behavior on and off of the court. These rules also apply to parents, coaches, siblings, and other guests of the players. The list below indicates the Tournament Rules: * No use of the word "suck" or any form of the word spoken or spelled. * No use of expressions of frustrations with references to deities (i.e. "Oh My God", "Jesus", "Jesus Christ", "Christ", "God") either spoken or spelled. * No use of "freaking", "frigging", or "fricking" or variations of such words either spoken or spelled. * No Smoking anywhere on the premises. Premises includes parking lots, bathrooms, and anywhere within 30 feet of a tennis court. Verbal rules apply to any language. We have officials on sight who are fluent in many languages. Anyone found in violation of these rules may be subject to a Code Violation and receive suspension points.

Please throw away your trash and respect the facilities that we are using. We are fortunate to be able to play this tournament here and want to continue to do so. Thank you for your cooperation.

Playoff for 3rd and 4th
There will be a 3/4 playoff for all singles divisions.

NO SHOWS
I ASK THAT YOU ARE RESPECTFUL OF YOUR OPPONENTS TIME AND MINE, AND EMAIL ME AT BARTH_JONATHAN@YAHOO.COM IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO SHOW FOR A MATCH. IF YOU DO NOT CONTACT ME DIRECTLY AND NOT SHOW UP FOR A MATCH THAT YOU ARE SCHEDULED TO PLAY THEN IT WILL BE COUNTED AS A NO SHOW WHICH CARRIES 5 SUSPENSION POINTS. I DON'T WANT ANYONE TO HAVE THE EXPENSE OF STAYING IN TOWN IF THERE ISN'T A MATCH TO PLAY. I APPRECIATE YOUR UNDERSTANDING.

SITES:
We are using six sites for the tournament. You may be playing at any of the sites we are using so please PAY ATTENTION TO THE DRAWS AND LOCATION OF THE MATCH. It is THE PLAYERS RESPONSIBILITY to know where there match is. Penalties for lateness will be enforced.

Warm Up Courts
Please look at www.tennismaps.com for Charleston area tennis courts. You will find courts open to the public to possibly warm up on. Players may warm up for their matches at the site where they are playing before the first matches start each day.

We will have limited ice at all sites for the players. Please fill up your coolers at the hotel as best you can.

INDOOR COURTS
THERE ARE NO INDOOR COURTS IN CHARLESTON...WE WILL SPREAD OUT TO ADDITIONAL FACILITIES AS BEST WE CAN TO CATCH UP IF THERE IS BAD WEATHER.

***LATE ENTRIES***
There will be a $25 processing fee for all late entries that are accepted into the tournament. All players must register online prior to the entry deadline to be considered
for selection. Late entries may be accepted after the deadline provided the division is not full. If the event is full the late entry may be placed at the bottom of the alternate list.

***MIXED DOUBLES***
We will be offering Mixed Doubles for the 12's, 14's, 16's and 18's age groups. Please go to the doubles website for more information.

PLAY FORMAT AND SCORING
32 players will be selected for each event (see Selection Process headline) and then be split into two Draws of 16 players using the Waterfall System for selection, with a Full Feed In Consolation through the Quarters and 3/4 playoff. The Feed-In Consolation will play through the Semifinals.

SELECTION PROCESS
The top 32 players will be selected from the most current USTA Southern
Standings List in each age division.
|
MEDICAL RELEASE FORM
USTA requires a medical release signed by the parent or guardian for
every player prior to their first match. Please download, complete, and bring
signed form to expedite player check-in. No player will be allowed on court

Selection Process/Seeding
USTA Southern will provide selection list. Players will be selected directly
from the USTA Southern Standing list in the age division in which they apply.
Players will no longer be considered for selection based on their lower age
division standings. Seeding: Seeding shall follow the USTA-Southern
Section seeding regulations and will be provided by Southern with the selection
list. The names of the player who have been selected will appear as competitors. Alternates are listed in the report section. Do not refer to the alternates on the far left side of the web page after competitors have been listed. (That list is not updated). Players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines: #1 Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected to the older age division. They are removed from the other age division. #2 Players not selected to either divisions would remain on the alternates lists for both divisions but would be obligated top play the division they first get in from the alternates list. They would be removed from the alternate list in the other division. #3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates' list of the division they were not selected. #4. Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

WATERFALL SYSTEM FOR SPLITTING DRAWS
The players will be ordered using current standings. The 32 players will be
split as follows: Red: 1,4,5, 8,9,12,13,16,17,20,21,24,25,28,29,32
White: 2,3, 6,7,10,11,14,15,18,19,22,23,26,27,30,31

Registering for Two Divisions
Players are allowed to enter two divisions with these guidelines: (1) Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected to the older age division. They will be removed from the other age division. (2) Players not selected to either division would remain on the alternate's lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in, from the alt list. They will be removed from the alternates of the other division. (3) Players selected to one age division will be removed from the alternates list of the other division. (4) Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

ALTERNATES INFORMATION
An Alternates By Event Report will be generated each day and published to the
website. All players listed on the alternates list may elect to play another
tournament, however, they MUST send an email to the tournament director to
withdraw from this event first. Until Thursday at midnight if there are
withdrawals, we will place the next person on the Alternates By Event Report
into the draw in the order listed without notifying the alternate placed into
the draw. It is your responsibility to check the draw to see that you were
placed into the draw. For any withdrawals after Thursday at midnight, we will
contact the next person on the Alternates By Event Report and give them one hour
to respond back to our email and or phone call. At that time we will go to the
next person on the Alternates By Event list. Please ensure that we have your
correct email address or phone number.
Anyone wishing to be an On-Site
Alternate must check in at the appropriate match site 30 minutes prior to the
first match time for the appropriate age division and ensure they are listed as
an On-Site Alternate with the Site Referee. Further instructions will be given
to On-Site Alternates at that time.

REFUNDS
There will be no refunds after the entry deadline. No exceptions.

Sportsmanship Responsibilities: All parents are encouraged complete the "Parenting My Champion" sportsmanship video before their player participates in this level tournament.

Please be aware that this tournament is a 10U Youth Tennis
Progression event. This means that in order to play in the 10U division offered
you must be in the corresponding level. If you are not able to register for 10U
singles that means you are not eligible for that level of 10U. To find out more

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. Please consult your Section or District rules and regulations for entry requirements for this tournament. If you enter this tournament and are not eligible, any refund is as the discretion of the Tournament Director. Only USTA members can register online if available.
