The TJ Spurling Junior Tennis Championships is hosted by the Country Club of South Carolina. This tournament is great for players who aim to improve their South Carolina rankings. Each player will receive a Premium Tournament Towel. LUNCH will be provided for players on Saturday at 12:30pm. Parents and coaches are welcome to dine at or order from the club's DUFFER'S GRILL. There will be other fun activities set up for the players such as cornhole toss, soccer goals, badminton, Xbox tennis game, etc...

CHECK-IN Check-in ONLY at the site where your match is! Please check the correct site and match time on the draws. Warm-up courts are available until 8:45am.
Sites Country Club of South Carolina (CCSC) - 3525 McDonald Boulevard, Florence, SC 29506. Ebeneezer Park (EBNZR) - 842 S Ebenezer Rd, Florence, SC 29501. (20 minute drive)
First Match Times All singles matches will begin on Saturday at 9:00am.
Draw Formats Divisions with 5 or fewer players will use Round Robin format. 6 or more will use First Match Loser Consolation format. Players in the first round of consolation may have to wait for their opponent to finish their main draw match before they can be given their next match time. In these cases, we thank you for your patience.
12's Divisions The 12's age division will offer two separate draws: one regular YELLOW ball and one lower compression GREEN dot ball. Challenger Level refers to the GREEN dot division.Please make sure you sign up for the desired division.
12's - 18's Scoring Ten point tie breakers will be used in place of the third set in ALL matches. Doubles matches will use 8 game pro-sets, win by 2 games, 7 point tie-break at 8-8. Alternate scoring and courts may be used in case of rain. The Referee has the right to use alternate scoring and additional surfaces at the Referee's discretion.
10's Scoring The 10 & under division will be a one day event on Saturday. Players will use orange low compression balls on a 60' court and green low compression balls on full court. Racquets may be no larger than 25" for the orange division. The scoring format used for this division will be: Best of three short sets to 4 games, must win by 2 (7 point set tiebreak at 4-4) with a 7 point tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set(must win by 2). Doubles matches will use 6 game pro-sets, win by 2 games, 7 point tie-break at 6-6.
Awards Medals will be awarded to the winners and finalists of each single division. Award Certificates will be given to the winners and finalists of doubles and consolation draws.

Sportsmanship Responsibilities: All parents are encouraged complete the "Parenting My Champion" sportsmanship video before their player participates in this level tournament.

Please be aware that this tournament is a 10U Youth Tennis
Progression event. This means that in order to play in the 10U division offered
you must be in the corresponding level. If you are not able to register for 10U
singles that means you are not eligible for that level of 10U. To find out more

Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, September 25, 2017 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
