USC UPSTATE TOURNAMENT
Next week, USC Upstate will host a Challenger, Level 4 tournament on their campus. Registration deadline is Tuesday, December 5 at 11:59 pm.

CHECK IN
Everyone needs to check in for your first match at the site listed on the draw. DO NOT check in at The Pavilion unless that is the site of your first match. You may stop by any time during the day Saturday and pick up your tshirt. This will help all matches to get started on time. Please check the LOCATIONS listed below for the Site Legend and addresses for all sites.

LOCATION (DIRECTIONS)
We will be playing matches at three sites (16 courts total) all 16 courts are lighted and both sites have been resurfaced within the last 3 years. LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED FOR PLAYERS ON SATURDAY FROM 11:00-1:00 AT THE PAVILION CHECK IN AREA.

Seeding was done using the latest Southern rankings as of November 29, 2017.

AVOIDANCE REQUESTS
Due to the number of entries into this tournament, we cannot accept any further avoidance requests and will not be able to make time changes once the draws are posted.

WITHDRAWALS
ALL withdrawals must be emailed to the tournament referee, Linda Sandusky.

TOURNAMENT START DATE
Matches will start on Friday, December 1 at 5:00.

AMENITIES
All entries will receive a $10 gift card for The Yard House Restaurant on Woodruff Road in Greenville. Fruit and snacks will be available throughout the weekend for the players. Lunch will be provided for the players on Saturday. T-shirts will be given to all players who register online. Awards will be given to Champions and Finalist of the singles main draws, to Champion of the consolation draw and Champions of the doubles.

DRAW FORMAT
Except for round robin formats, all singles draws will have a MODIFIED FEED-IN CONSOLATION. All players should report their scores, win or lose, at the tournament desk at the location of their match. Do not assume that you are finished with the tournament when you lose. ALWAYS double check the draws on line for your match times and locations. Doubles will be Single Elimination.

DOUBLES SIGN-UP
Obtain your doubles partner's USTA# and sign up online before entries close. You may signup without a partner and we will randomly pair you with another player seeking a partner if one is available. For planning purposes we cannot accept late entries into doubles.

MATCH SCORING FORMAT 12's-18's DIVISIONS
Singles main draw and consolation will play best 2 out of 3 sets with a 10 point match tiebreak in lieu of a 3rd set. AD SCORING WILL BE USED IN ALL 12's-18's DIVISIONS. If you split sets you are entitled to a 3 minute set break and ON-COURT coaching is allowed. If you leave the court you will forfeit your time to receive coaching. All doubles will play an 8 game pro set with a 7 point tiebreak played at 8-8.

BOYS' AND GIRLS' 10's ORANGE BALL DIVISIONS
Boys' and Girls' 10's orange ball divisions will be played on a 60' court using a low compression orange ball. Racquet size is limited to 25" or smaller. Draw format will be determined by the number of participants. Scoring format as follows: 2 out of 3 short sets using NO AD scoring, first to 4 games. 7 point tiebreak for 3rd set (first to 7 points wins the match.) Doubles will be a 6 game pro-set.

BOYS' AND GIRLS' 10's GREEN BALL DIVISIONS
Boys' and Girls' 10's green ball divisions will be played on a 78' court using a low compression green ball. Draw format will be determined by the number of participants. Scoring format is as follows: 2 out of 3 short sets using NO AD SCORING, first to 4 games, 7 point tiebreak for 3rd set (first to 7 points.) Doubles will be a 6 game pro set.

MIXED DOUBLES
Mixed doubles will be played on Sunday afternoon. Be sure to check on line for your times.

South Carolina Tournament Level 4-Challenger: Beginning January 1, 2013, all CHALLENGER tournaments in SC will offer both yellow ball and green ball divisions for 12U play for the purpose of transition from the 10U orange ball. The 12U Green division is designated by "Quick Start: 12U" on the registration page. Play in the 12U green ball division will count toward the player's Current Standings.

Please be aware that this tournament is a 10U Youth Tennis
Progression event. This means that in order to play in the 10U division offered
you must be in the corresponding level. If you are not able to register for 10U
singles that means you are not eligible for that level of 10U. To find out more
