OK, so it didn't rain as hard at Burns Park as it did at Rebsamen so we are going to play outdoors at Burns Park. 11:00 and 12:00 matches need to plan on a 1:00 start at Burns. 12:30 matches need to plan on 1:30 at Burns. All other matches look back here at noon.

THE FORECAST FOR SUNDAY HAS SHOWN TO PERHAPS HAVE THE RAIN COME IN THE AFTERNOON. BECAUSE OF THIS, WE HAVE CHANGED OUR SUNDAY SCHEDULE TO TRY AND FIT IN AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE BEFORE THAT HAPPENS. ALL CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE AND CAN BE SEEN ON THE DRAWS.

All draws are now available. Please make sure to check your time and site when checking your draws.
Remember that we do have a voluntary check-in from 6-8 pm at Rebsamen Tennis Center on Friday night. It is by no means necessary to come to the check-in, but, if you're already in town and want to pick up your t-shirt and let us know you're here, then come on by. For those that don't, you will check in before your first match.

CHECK-IN ON FRIDAY NIGHT
SINCE WE WON'T START UNTIL SATURDAY, YOU CAN CHECK-IN AT REBSAMEN TENNIS CENTER FROM 6-8 PM ON FRIDAY NIGHT. THIS IS NOT MANDATORY. IF YOU DON'T MAKE IT IN TOWN IN TIME FOR CHECK-IN, YOU MAY CHECK IN SATURDAY MORNING BEFORE YOUR FIRST SINGLES MATCH.

DOUBLES INFORMATION (Doubles deadline extended, format of play, where and how to sign up for doubles before and after singles deadline)
Doubles play will begin on Saturday morning at 8 AM. The first round will be played at 8 AM and the second round will be played after singles on Saturday afternoon. Format is an 8-game pro set, 7 point tie breaker at 8-all.
We do NOT partner players. It is the players responsibility to find a partner and confirm the partnership. If this happens before the singles deadline, then register on-line. THE DOUBLES DEADLINE WILL EXTEND PAST THE SINGLES DEADLINE TO TUESDAY, MARCH 28 AT NOON . IF YOU FIND YOUR PARTNER AFTER THE SINGLES DEADLINE, YOU MUST EMAIL chipstearns@hotmail.com WITH THE PAIRING. DO NOT TRY TO DO IT ON-LINE AFTER THE SINGLES DEADLINE. IT WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO DO THAT. The doubles sign-up for this tournament is on the same site as the singles. SELECTION
USTA Southern will provide selection list. Players will be selected directly from the USTA Southern Standing list in the age division in which they apply. Players will no longer be considered for selection based on their lower age division standings.

SEEDING
Seeding shall follow the USTA Southern Section seeding regulations and will be provided by Southern with the selection list.

FORMAT AND SCORING
64 Draw in Singles with a feed-in consolation through the round of 16. Quarterfinal losers will play a different bracket.
All main draw singles matches for the 14 year old divisions will be best of three tie-break sets (new balls provided for the third set). Main draw singles matches will play 2 rounds on Saturday, 2 rounds Sunday, semifinals and finals on Monday. All main draw singles matches for the 12 year old divisions will be best of three sets with a match tiebreak (10 point) played at 1 set all. Main draw singles matches will play 2 rounds on Saturday, 2 rounds Sunday, semifinals and finals on Monday.
All consolation matches will be best of three sets with a match tiebreak (10 Points) played at 1 set all. Consolation matches play one round on Saturday, two rounds on Sunday, and two rounds on Monday. Consolation bracket will finish at the semis.
Doubles will consist of a 32 single elimination draw. An eight game pro set will be played with a 7 point tie break at 8 all. There will be a playoff for 3rd and 4th place in both singles and doubles.

YOU MUST PLAY THE SAME DIVISION IN SINGLES AND DOUBLES
Per Southern Tennis Assoication Rules: You MUST play the same division in DOUBLES that you designated to play in SINGLES. PLEASE sign-up accordingly. Players signing up for TWO (2) singles divisions, PLEASE keep a close eye on your doubles status after the competitor list comes out. Thank you for your understanding!

ENTERING TWO DIVISIONS
Players are allowed to enter two divisions in Southern Levels 1A, 2, and 3 tournaments. #1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected in the older age division. They would be removed from the other age division. #2. Players not selected to either division would remain on the alternates lists for both division but would be obligated to play the division they first get in from the alternates list. They would be removed from the Alternates list in the other division. #3. Players selected to one age division would be removed from the alternates list of the division they were not selected. #4. Once a player is selected for any one division NO changes can be made.

MEDICAL RELEASE
The USTA Southern Section requires a signed release covering all entrants in USTA Southern Section events. The release must be signed by the entrant and parent or guardian of any entrant who is a minor. Click on "more info" to access the release.

TOURNAMENT SITES
The tournament will be held at two primary sites: Rebsamen Tennis Center (Reb) - 1501 Leisure Place, Little Rock, AR 72204 Burns Park Tennis Center (BP) - 4000 Joe Poch Road, North Little Rock, AR 72118 There may be some doubles played at Otter Creek Racquet Club (OC) in case of emergency.

WITHDRAWAL PROCEDURES
Withdrawal Prior to Entry Deadline: Go to the Tournament website and click "EDIT REGISTRATION" on the right side of your screen then "Withdraw". From there you can withdraw. If you do not know your Confirmation #, then click "Locate Confirmation" just below "Withdraw." We cannot withdraw you, you must do this yourself. You will lose the processing fee if you do not withdraw online before registration closes. Withdrawal After Entry Deadline: Immediately contact the tournament to withdraw from the tournament. You must email your withdrawal. DO NOT call to withdraw. The email is chipstearns@hotmail.com. If the player is not playing because of an injury or illness, the player shall provide written verification of the injury or illness from a medical professional no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS PAST 3/24. Refunds will only be given with proper documentation and valid excuse and may take up to 6 weeks to process. See procedures below for receiving a refund. Defaulting during the tournament: You must see the trainer and get approval from the Head Referee. Do not tell just anyone at the desk and think you have properly defaulted. Unless you speak to the Head Referee in person, it will count as a "No Show." WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY WITHDRAWALS OVER THE PHONE! If the player is not playing because of an injury or illness, the player shall provide written verification of the injury or illness from a medical professional no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament OR a visit with the onsite trainer will suffice.

NO REFUNDS AFTER FRIDAY, MARCH 24
If you withdraw before March 24, 2016 you will receive a refund. If you withdraw after March 24, 2016 there are no refunds.
Per STA Requirements "An entry fee refund is not required for anyone withdrawing within seven days of the start date."

REFUNDS AFTER REGISTRATION CLOSES
If you withdraw before registration closes, your credit card will not be charged. If you withdraw after registration closes, you may be eligible for refund if you withdraw by 3/24/17. A player shall not withdraw from a tournament after entries close except for illness, injury, or personal emergency. A withdrawing player shall immediately notify the tournament by email that the player will not be playing. If the player is not playing because of an injury or illness, the player shall provide written verification of the injury or illness from a medical professional no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament. If the player is not playing because of a personal emergency, the player shall provide a written explanation of the situation to the referee no later than the last scheduled day of the tournament. The referee shall determine whether the situation is a personal emergency. In order to receive a refund, you must notify the tournament immediately of your withdrawal, no later than Friday 3/24/17. Then, YOU MUST MAIL IN A SELF-ADDRESSED STAMPED ENVELOPE with your written medical excuse or emergency explanation. You must also include the exact "Payee" name the check is payable to. This must be received by the last day of the tournament which is 4/3/17. Our best advice to you, is make sure you assess your means of travel and schedules before registration closes.
