All 10 & Under Players that are wanting to play in a different division than your rankings allow. You will need to send an email stating what level you are wanting to enter. ENTERING TWO (2) DIVISIONS:
Players are allowed to enter two divisions in Southern
Levels 1A, 2, and 3 tournaments. #1. Players selected to both age divisions they apply for
will automatically be selected in the older age division. They would be removed
from the other age division.
#2. Players not selected to either division would remain
on the alternates lists for both division but would be obligated to play the
division they first get in from the alternates list. They would be removed from
the Alternates list in the other division.
#3. Players selected to one age division would be removed
from the alternates list of the division they were not selected.
#4. Once a player is selected for any one division NO changes can be made.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS FOR SOUTHERN LEVEL 1A, 2 and 3 TOURNAMENTS ONLY AND DOES NOT MEAN YOU CAN ENTER MORE THAN ONE TOURNAMENT ON THE SAME DATES. This is not offered in Southern Level 1 Championships.

event is restricted to the following Jr. players: U.S. Citizens; Permanent

FORMAT OF PLAY:
32 players will be selected for each event and then be split into two Draws of 16 players using the Waterfall System for selection with a Full Feed in Consolation through the Quarters and 3/4 playoff. All Singles draws (12-18) will play the best two out of three tie-break sets with a Match tie break in lieu of the third set. The Finals of the Consolation will not be scheduled and will not be played. Boys and Girls 10's will play on the 78 foot court using Yellow Green Dot Balls and up to a 29" racquet. The required scoring format, for 10's singles matches, shall be the best of two short sets (first to four (4) and win by two), with a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) at 4-4 in each set, and a set tiebreak (first to seven (7) and win by two) in lieu of the third set.
The Format of Play for Doubles is a 32 Draw, Single Elimination with a 3rd/4th Playoff The Scoring for Doubles is an 8-game Pro Set with a tie break at 8 all. *Short scoring may be used in the Main Draw to catch up after weather delays, but must get final approval from Southern office.

PRACTICE COURTS:
We will be using Canes Park (Youngsville) for majority of the Matches - 801 Savoy Rd, Youngsville, LA 70592 . Saturday and Sunday, courts will open at 7:00 AM. From 7:00 AM - 7:45 AM, you may practice on any open court, first come first serve - 4 players to every court. Lafayette has many public facilities that can be used for practice courts.

FAQ
- This is a Southern Level 3 Tournament - You may enter Two (2) Divisions in this
tournament in hopes of getting into the older division. You will only be
selected for one singles event. You should only register for two singles divisions if you are willing to
play either division
- You may NOT enter a different age division in doubles than your singles. - CHECK THE INTERNET/TENNISLINK AND/OR DRAWS TO FIND YOUR NEXT MATCH TIME. - Youngsville, LA is in the Central Time Zone - Please read all of the information provided on the website. It is a lot to scroll through but will probably answer any questions you might have. - On Wednesday, 9/20, PLEASE CHECK THE DOUBLES COMPETITORS LIST TO MAKE SURE YOUR PAIRING IS CORRECT. - Both Singles and Doubles seeds and draws will be posted on 9/21 in the evening. - Email all other questions to jwahlborg1@gmail.com - this is the best form of communication. With such a short amount of time between registration closing and the start of the tournament, answering and returning phone calls is nearly impossible. Emails can be answered much quicker and at any time during the day or night.

DOUBLES
Doubles and Singles must be same Age Group. . Doubles play will begin on Friday evening with two or three rounds. (It is an 8-game pro set.). We do NOT partner players. It is your job to find a partner, confirm the partnership, and then register by the doubles deadline.. AND, BOTH PLAYERS MUST REGISTER!!!! WE WILL ONLY PARTNER PLAYERS THAT HAVE REGISTERED FOR DOUBLES AND DID NOT EMAIL. USTA does not allow us to give out player information,so.... DO NOT ASK FOR PLAYER INFORMATION.

ORDER FOR DOUBLE SELECTION
Players registered or
not registered for the singles tournament can register for doubles. But please
note that the selection for doubles is in the following order:
1. Teams with both players entered in the singles.
2. Teams with one player entered in singles and one alternate.
3. Teams with one player entered in singles and one player not registered for
singles.
4. Teams with both players not registered for singles.

USTA SOUTHERN SEEDING CRITERIA
Southern Tennis Association will provide selection and seeding list. Players will be selected directly from the USTA Southern Standing list in the age division in which they apply. Players will no longer be considered for selection based on their lower age division standings. On a Draw, players will be seeded numerically 1-4, and in groupings of 5's, 9's and 17's - depending on draw sizes. Singles Seeding will be prepared by the Southern Office at the time they prepare the selection list.
Doubles Seeding: Teams shall be seeded in the order of their combined standings (e.g., Player A holds #1 standing and Player B holds the #10 standing. The Team of A & B would have combined standing of 11.) Teams that have the same combined, the tie shall be broken by using the highest singles standing of the 4 players.

WATERFALL TOURNAMENT SYSTEM:
The players will be ordered using current standing list that meets the selection requirements are added to the player list. The 32 players will be split as follows: Red 1, 4,5, 8,9, 12,13, 16,17,20,21,24,25,28,29,32 Blue 2,3 6,7, 10,11,14,15,18,19,22,23,26,27,30,31 Seeding will be made after the players have been split.

LATE ENTRIES:
For the late entries we will receive, they
will be placed at the bottom of the alternates list. If the seeding has been completed
and a late entry is the next to get in, we will determine if they will affect
the seeding before we can accept you into the tournament.
Once Accepted: Late entries shall be accepted and go to the bottom of the alternates list ON A FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE BASIS in the order received via email. EMAIL IS THE ONLY WAY TO COMMUNICATE FOR LATE ENTRIES. Last day of LATE ENTRIES IS WEDNESDAY, SEPT 20, 2017 at 5 PM.
Boys 16 & Under will not accept any late entries - only alternates. Draw is full.

ON-SITE ALTERNATES
"On Site" Alternates must register at their age group's tournament site. You can inform the Tournament Referee on Friday night or before that you plan to be an On-Site Alternate. Please make sure we have accurate contact information for you to be reached during the weekend. On-Site Alternates will be selected in the order of the Alternates List. On Site Alternates should be on-site when their age and gender check in for play 30 minutes prior to the first match in the first round.

WITHDRAWLS:
Withdrawl Prior to Entry Deadline: Go to the Tournament website and click "Withdraw" in the "EDIT REGISTRATION" box on the right side of your screen. From there you can withdraw. If you do not know your Confirmation #, then click "Locate Confirmation" just below "Withdraw". We cannot withdraw you, you must do this yourself. You will lose the processing fee if you do not withdraw online before registration closes. Withdraw After Entry Deadline: Email the tournament director immediately to withdraw from the tournament. You must EMAIL your withdrawl to jwahlborg1@gmail.com. DO NOT CALL TO WITHDRAW. There are NO refunds if withdrawing after SEPT 17, 2017. NO Exceptions. Defaulting during the tournament: You must see the Tournament Desk Staff . Unless you speak with the the tournament staff, it will count as a "NO SHOW".

NO REFUNDS AFTER Sunday, September 17, 2017:
If you withdraw after September 17, 2017 your credit card will be charged. NO REFUNDS WILL BE ISSUED FOR HURRICANES or other natural disasters.
Per STA Requirements "An entry fee refund is not required for anyone withdrawing within seven days of the start date."

MANDATORY TOURNAMENT CHECK-IN:
Check-in will start at 4:00 PM and end at 7:00 PM on Friday evening at your Doubles Site (Beaver or Canes Park). Saturday morning check-in will be available for those who cannot make it on Friday. If you miss Friday Check-in: 1. Make sure your entry fee has been paid - Check the tournament Entry Fee Report when posted. 2. Arrive at your site 1 hour before your match time to check-in. 3. For those playing 8:00 AM Check-in at the desk no later than 7:30. 4. T-Shirts can be picked up at Canes Park
