GFU Champs Tournament Info:
Due to the extremely large nature of this tournament, we will be using three sites: George Fox University (GFU), Newberg High School (NHS), and Jacquith Park (JAC). It is your responsibility to know which site your match is being played at, and directions to each site will be posted below. George Fox will be the hub of the tournament, and draws will be posted at that site and updated throughout the day.
Matches will use the following scoring format: Main Draw Singles: 2 out of 3 set, no-ad scoring, 10-point tiebreaker for the 3rd set.
Consolation Singles: 8-game Pro Set, no-ad scoring.
Main Draw Doubles: 8-game Pro Set, regular scoring.
All Matches will have a strict 5-minute warm up period.
In order to help move the tournament along at a faster pace, please feel free to check in for your matches early.

GGeorge Fox University (GFU) – Tennis courts are around the back of the campus near the track. From I-5: From the south, take the Donald/Aurora exit (278) north of Salem. Follow the signs to Newberg. When you reach 99W, turn left. Just past the highway split near the center of town, turn right on Meridian Street. After one block, you will see the campus on the right.
From the north, take the Tigard/Newberg exit (294) shortly after leaving Portland city limits. Stay on 99W until you reach Newberg. At Meridian Street (just past the highway split near the center of town), turn right. Campus is on the right.
Northbound 99W (coming from McMinnville and Dundee) From 99W, turn left on Meridian. Follow Meridian Street across southbound 99W (Hancock Street) for one block; campus is on the right.

Newberg High School (NHS) – Tennis courts are tucked back behind the football field near the front office of the school. From I-5: From the south, take the Donald/Aurora exit (278) north of Salem. Follow the signs to Newberg. When you reach 99W, turn right. Just before the McDonalds near the center of town, turn left on Deborah Road. After half a mile, you will see the campus on the left. Turn left onto E Douglas Ave.
From the north, take the Tigard/Newberg exit (294) shortly after leaving Portland city limits. Stay on 99W until you reach Newberg. At Deborah Road (just past the McDonalds near the center of town), turn right. Go a half mile until you reach E Douglas Ave and go left.

Jacquith Park (JAC)– Courts are at back of parking lot. From I-5: Same as GFU directions to Newberg. When you reach 99W, turn left. Just past the highway split near the center of town, turn right on N College Street. A couple of blocks after crossing the train tracks, the park is on your left.

Northbound 99W (coming from McMinnville) From 99W, turn left on College. Follow College St across southbound 99W (Hancock Street) for a couple of blocks after crossing the train tracks, the park is on your left.

Update: Due to the small number of doubles entrants for the tournament, we will only be holding the Boys 18s Doubles event. All female doubles entrants will receive a $10 refund in the mail. Thank you for your understanding and we are looking forward to a great weekend of tennis.

No Selection Process. All registered players will be selected.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Friday, May 18, 2012 11:59:00 PM Pacific Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
