APPROPRIATE TENNIS ATTIRE REQUIRED AT WINDWARD CLUB
PLAYERS PARTICIPATING IN THE US OPEN SECTIONAL QUALIFIER SHOULD RECOGNIZE THAT THE EVENT IS BEING PLAYED AT A PRIVATE TENNIS FACILITY. PLAYERS ARE THE WELCOME GUESTS OF THE CLUB, AND SHOULD BE RESPECTFUL OF THE MEMBERS, STAFF AND THE FACILITY. ALL PLAYERS ARE EXPECTED WEAR APPROPRIATE TENNIS ATTIRE ON AND OFF THE COURTS. NON MARKING TENNIS SHOES ARE REQUIRED, AND MEN MUST WEAR SHIRTS AT ALL TIMES. CHECK WITH THE TOURNAMENT DESK IF THERE ARE ANY QUESTIONS.

TOURNAMENT MATCH PLAY SCHEDULE
THE PROJECTED TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE: MATCH PLAY BEGINS FRIDAY 12 NOON WITH THE ROUND OF 64 IN MEN'S AND WOMEN'S SINGLES. SATURDAY MATCHES WILL BE THE ROUND OF 32 AND ROUND OF 16 IN ALL SINGLES, AND THE ROUND OF 32 IN MIXED DOUBLES. SUNDAY MATCHES WILL BE THE QUARTERFINALS IN MEN'S AND WOMEN'S SINGLES AND THE ROUND OF 16 AND QUARTERFINALS IN MIXED DOUBLES. MONDAY MATCHES WILL BE THE SEMIFINALS IN MEN'S AND WOMEN'S SINGLES AND MIXED DOUBLES. FINALS ARE SCHEDULED FOR TUESDAY. IF THERE IS INCLEMENT WEATHER THIS SCHEDULE WILL BE ADJUSTED AS NECESSARY. MATCH PLAY FORMATS
ALL EVENTS ARE SINGLE ELIMINATION. ALL SINGLES MATCHES ARE THE BEST OF 3 TIEBREAK SETS. FOUR BALLS FOR FIRST TWO SETS, AND 4 NEW BALLS FOR A THIRD SET THROUGH THE SEMIFINALS. BALL CHANGE AT 9 & 11 GAMES IN THE FINALS. ALL FINALS WILL BE A CHAIR UMPIRE AND 5 LINESPERSONS. MIXED DOUBLES (4 BALLS) WILL BE 2 TIEBREAK SETS . NO AD SCORING AND A MATCH TIEBREAK FOR THE 3RD SET. AT DEUCE MEN WILL SERVE TO MEN AND WOMEN WILL SERVE TO WOMEN. MEN'S SINGLES WILL USE WILSON HEAVY DUTY BALLS, WOMEN'S SINGLES AND MIXED DOUBLES WILL USE WILSON REGULAR DUTY BALLS.

SEEDING UPDATE
SECTIONAL TOURNAMENT SEEDING IS DONE BY THE NATIONAL TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR STAFF AND PROVIDED TO THE TOURNAMENT. SEEDING DECISIONS ARE BASED ON CURRENT ATP AND WTA RANKING AS OF 7 DAYS PRIOR TO MONDAY OF THE TOURNAMENT WEEK. IF THERE ARE NOT TWO PLAYERS IN THE SINGLES EVENT OR TWO TEAMS IN MIXED DOUBLES WITH AN ATP/WTA RANKING, THEN NO PLAYERS WILL BE SEEDED. The tournament was informed that there are no players with a ranking in the men’s division, only one player with a ranking in the women’s division, and only three women with a ranking in the mixed division, therefore there are No Seeds in any draws.

Player Amenities: Player packet and gifts will be provided to each player. Also each player will receive a badge that will allow access to our Aquatic Center that has five swimming pools during their stay.

ENTRY, SELECTION, & CHECK IN
Check In & Daily Match Schedule: Matchplay will begin Friday 12Noon for early singles rounds. Matches will begin 8:00am on Saturday, Sunday and Monday with finals scheduled on Tuesday, July 3rd. Players must check in at tournament desk a half hour before FIRST scheduled match start time. Player Selection Type
The tournament director will run a "Lottery Selection Process" via TennisLink within 24 hours after the entry close date which will automatically accept all entries if the total number of entries into the tournament is less than or equal to 256 for men's singles, less than or equal to 256 for women's singles, and less than or equal to 128 for mixed doubles. If the total number of entries into the tournament is greater than the above, then the "Lottery Selection Process" will determine accepted entries at random. A player's entry fee will only be processed if he/she is accepted into the tournament. All players accepted into the tournament will receive an email notification via TennisLink indicating as such and will be posted online once the "Lottery Selection Process" is run. All players not accepted into the tournament will receive an email notification via TennisLink indicating as such once the "Lottery Selection Process" is run.

Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, June 18, 2012 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
