Due to the large amount of entries, Men's open singles will have at least one match on Friday evening. I'll make sure to contact you once I make the draws. Sorry for any inconvenience, but otherwise we wouldn't be able to fit in that many matches in two days.

Check draws for times! Men's Open Singles will start Saturday morning...Mixed will start at 5:30pm on Friday evening....Men's singles will start early Saturday morning...Women's singles will start Saturday morning....All Doubles will start Saturday early afternoon...Family Feud divisions will start Sunday @ 2pm

I will be contacting some of you in draws with just two or fewer players in it to see where you would like to be placed. I will be working on this tomorrow morning.

Please check in 30 minutes prior your first round match. University of Iowa Klotz Courts/Hawkeye Recreation Tennis Center will be the headquarters and you will need to check in here first. ADDRESS: 2820 Prairie Meadow Dr. Iowa City, IA

Some singles and doubles divisions may have round robin draws with alternative scoring. Typical round robin draws consist of 3, 4, or even 5 participants. Alternative (shortened) scoring may be used if there are large number of players in the draw.

The Family Feud was a great success last year and will be offered again as a non sanctioned event in addition to Midlands. You will need to email me with the doubles team entrants. Entry fee will be $20 per team. Doubles teams will be guaranteed 3 matches....There will be two divisions like last year. One division will be for higher rated adult/junior combinations, and the other will be for lower rated combinations. Please include your NTRP rating or junior tournament experience in your email so I can place you appropriately.....Each division will have 8 teams and will be a compass draw.

Indoor court fees will apply if play is forced to go indoors. Indoor play will be at Hawkeye Tennis and Rec Complex (HTRC) as well as North Dodge Athletic Club (NDAC). Indoor court rates will be $14 per match ($7 for singles and $3.50 for doubles).

Players MUST sign up online before deadline to play doubles. Please have your partner's USTA# ready for input. There will be NO SIGN UP AT DESK ON SATURDAY.

Since I will be working on the draws immediately once they close there will be no refunds once the entry deadline has passed. If you need to withdraw from the tournament please do so on tennislink with your USTA number and confirmation code.
