Format and Other Details
Thanks for playing the Canyon Creek DPTA Circuit Tournament! We have 145 players competing this Saturday and we're planning on nice weather and lots of good tennis from everybody!
Please note that the format is an 8-game pro set with ad scoring and a 12 point (first to 7, win by 2) tiebreaker at 7-7. Players are guaranteed two matches given able opponents, so make sure to check back to the tournament desk after your first match to see when you play again.
Please check in at your playing site 30 minutes before your first round match and at least 15 minutes before all other matches. We are planning on running ahead of schedule.
We will be using Richardson High Schoo, Allen High School and Canyon Creek Country Club for our playing sites--please check your draw carefully for your first round match time and location so you go to the correct location! A 15 minute default rule applies to all matches--there is no grace period for lateness.
Please also note that all late afternoon/evening matches will be played at Canyon Creek, so you may start at Richardson HS or Allen HS and finish at Canyon Creek
Any delays caused by weather issues will be posted on the website. Should we be unable to finish play on Saturday, the tournament will continue Sunday morning. If play cannot be completed on Sunday the tournament will be cancelled and there will be no refunds.
It's always a good idea to double check your match time and location before you go to bed on Friday night--and to check again before leaving the house on Saturday morning. We'll be updating this website as things change, but often these changes occur late on Friday evening.
