PLEASE REMEMBER THAT ALL PLAYERS ARE GUARANTEED THREE MATCHES IN SOUTHERN LEVEL 3 PLAY! SO, EVEN IF YOU LOSE YOUR FIRST TWO, YOU WILL STILL HAVE ONE OR TWO MATCHES LEFT TO PLAY.

MATCH POINT OPEN SUNDAY 9:30 - 3:30!
A quick reminder that Match Point will be open on Sunday from 9:30 - 3:30. There is a bunch of new stuff as well as many, many items on sale. Don't forget that there is a Head Instinct MP racquet being raffled off tomorrow afternoon right before closing, so make sure and go by and pick up a raffle ticket!

WE WILL HAVE A FRIDAY NIGHT CHECK-IN FROM 7:00 - 9:00 PM AT THE HOST HOTEL, THE HAMPTON INN AND SUITES. THE ADDRESS IS: 1301 S Shackleford Road, 72211 Little Rock
THE CHECK-IN IS NOT MANDATORY, BUT, WE WOULD LIKE TO GET AS MANY CHECKED IN AS POSSIBLE AS WE ARE STARTING WITH DOUBLES ON SATURDAY MORNING AND CHECKING PEOPLE IN AT THAT TIME WOULD BE DIFFICULT.

We will be raffling off two free nights of hotel (one night each for two different parties) for the Polar Bear. It will only be for people who stay in our host hotels, the Hampton Inn and Suites and the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza. Host hotel information is in the notes below. So, stay at our host hotels to give yourself a shot at a free night!!!

AFTER THE SINGLES DEADLINE HAS PASSED, WE WILL KEEP THE DOUBLES DRAWS OPEN UNTIL THE FOLLOWING TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 28 AT NOON. THIS IS FOR ALL PLAYERS WHO WOULD STILL BE LOOKING FOR A PARTNER AFTER THE COMPETITOR LIST HAS COME OUT.

Players registered or not registered for the singles tournament can register for doubles. But please note that the selection for doubles is in the following order:
1. Teams with both players entered in the singles.
2. Teams with one player entered in singles and one alternate.
3. Teams with one player entered in singles and one player not registered for singles.
4. Teams with both players not registered for singles.

SINGLES AND DOUBLES COMPETITOR LIST INFO
IF YOU WERE NOT SELECTED FOR SINGLES, YOU WERE NOT SELECTED FOR DOUBLES. HOWEVER, YOU MAY STILL BE ABLE TO PLAY DOUBLES. THE DOUBLES DRAWS WILL NOT CLOSE UNTIL TUESDAY. We will be playing at two sites for the Polar Bear:

ENTERING TWO SINGLES DIVISIONS
REGISTERING FOR TWO DIVISONS: Players are allowed to enter two singles divisions in the same tournament with these guidelines:
(1) Players selected to both age divisions they apply for will automatically be selected to the older age division. They will be removed from the other age division.
(2) Players not selected to either division would remain on the alternate’s lists for both divisions but would be obligated to play the division they first get in, from the alternate list. They will be removed from the alternate list in the other division.
(3) Players selected to one age division will be removed from the alternate list of the other division.
(4) Once a player is selected for any one division no changes can be made.

MEDICAL RELEASE
The USTA requires a medical release SIGNED BY THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN for every player. This form must be presented at the time of the tournament registration. Please download and bring this form completed with you of fax it to us @ (501)747-2870. Players are not allowed on court without this signed release>>

ON SITE ALTERNATES
"On Site" Alternates must register at their age group's tournament site. You can inform the Tournament Referee on Friday night or before that you plan to be an On-Site Alternate. Please make sure we have accurate contact information for you to be reached during the weekend. On-Site Alternates will be selected in the order of the Alternates List. On Site Alternates should be on-site when their age and gender check in for play 30 minutes prior to the first match in the first round.

SELECTION PROCESS/TWO DRAWS OF 16 FOR EACH AGE GROUP
The top 32 players applying from each age group will be selected by the Southern Section office, from the latest USTA/Southern standing list -- 28 players from the age group will be selected and up to 4 players from the younger age group that have a top 40 standing and are not in the selected 28. Each group of 32 players selected from each age group will be divided into two draws of 16 each. We will be using the waterfall system to make sure each of the two 16 draws are balanced by strength.

We will be using the Penn ball for all matches.

If you missed registration on Friday, please just check in before your first singles. match. Please do not try and check in right before doubles. Thanks!!!

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is restricted. Please consult your Section or District rules and regulations for entry requirements for this tournament. If you enter this tournament and are not eligible, any refund is as the discretion of the Tournament Director. Only USTA members can register online if available.
