Tennessee State Open Junior Championships (STA L4)(TNL2)

Please review your singles draw. There was an error in the seedings in the Boy's 16 singles division. All times are the same but your position in the draw may have changed. Sorry for the error! Remember to check in 30 minutes prior to your match start time. If your first match is at Webb School, go there and check in for your first match. Please come to SMTA on Friday or Saturday to officially check in for the tournament.

All players much check in at the match check in desk 30 minutes prior to your match start time. Due to the size of the tournament and the number of matches played each day, it is imperative that the 30 minute check in rule is adhered to closely by all players.

Be prepared to play indoors or outdoors. We will have doors open and fans on in the indoor building and matches will be put on as courts become available.

There will be a Friday Night Pizza Party for all players from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Smoky Mountain Tennis Academy sponsored by SNAPPY TOMATO PIZZA. We invite all players to come hang out and enjoy some great pizza! Firehouse Subs will be providing lunch on Friday at SMTA. McCallisters will be providing lunch on Saturday at SMTA. SMTA will provide Subway sandwiches on Sunday at lunch. Some of our other sponsors include the Greater Knoxville Tennis Association, Knoxville Tourism and Sports Corporation, Chick-fil-A, Dick's Sporting Goods, Outback Steakhouse, and Penn Station Subs. Sponsors will provide food, coupons and other items for the players-please support them when you are in Knoxville and off the court!

If you entered or requested to play doubles, please look at the doubles draws. We were able to pair up almost all of the players. Doubles matches will start at 8:00am on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Some of the doubles finals will likely be played on Monday morning beginning at 8:00am. Check in 30 minutes prior to the start of your match.

Warm up courts are available Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 9:00am-6:00pm at Christian Academy of Knoxville located at 529 Christian Academy Boulevard Knoxville, TN 37923. Please drink a lot of fluids and eat well-we expect it to be hot! We will have a mister and fan set up in the large tent to help players battle the heat. Thie environment will be 15-20 degrees cooler than the outside temperature so we urge players to take advantage of this area when they are not on the court. We will also have games and activities for players during their off court time at SMTA.

We will be using Webb School of Knoxville for Girl's 14, 16, and 18 on Friday and Saturday. Christian Academy of Knoxville will be allowing us 3 courts for practice on a frst come, first serve basis on Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9-6. Both of these facilities are less than 10 minutes from SMTA and the majority of the hotels. The Oak Ridge hotels may be closer to 20 minutes away.
