Help our troops, Adopt-a-Unit project
We would like to thank all of those who contributed to our collection basket for the 70 memberunit out of Ft. Belvoir, VA, currently stationed in Afghanistan. Donations received in the donor barrel nearthe tournament desk included:
56 "fruit snacks,"
51 "Cheezit" packs,
14 Mentos,
15 personal size shampoo bottles,
14 hotel size soap bars,
11 personal size bottles of conditioner,
and five pairs of socks.

Tournament site
Welcome to Battery Park Junior Open! The tournament will be played at the historic Battery Park. Please report to the tournament desk located at the north end of the park near Courts8, 9 and 10. DO NOT REPORT TO THE PARKS AND REC OFFICE AT 700 BLANTON AVE.
Battery Park is located at the intersection of Overbrook with Hawthorne and Montrose. Use 2725 Montrose Ave. Richmond in your navigation system.

Rain dates
The tournament will use Monday and Tuesday as rain dates but will do our best to complete the tournament on Saturday and Sunday.

Match format
L6: 8U Two out of three 7 point games on 36' court using red balls
L6: 10U Two out of three 4 game sets on 60' court using orange balls
L4: 10U Two out of three 4 game sets on 60' court using orange balls

Feed in consolation
The tournament is happy to have the players play as many matches as possible based on court availability and weather. Everyone will be guaranteed two matches, and all players should report to the tournament desk after winning or losing a match. You are not finished until the tournament desk sends you home.

Food on site
The Metro Richmond Tennis Club will have a food concession on site. The proceeds from the concession will be used for tennis outreach programs in the city.

You are invited to the "Have a Ball" celebration!
A bonus! Richmond Tennis Association is designating May the Tennis Month and all players from May tournaments are invited to the "Have a Ball" celebration free of charge. The celebration will take place on Saturday May 12th from 4-7 pm at the Mary and Frances Youth Center on the VCU campus. Food, games, prizes and tennis. 120 South Linden St., Richmond.

Draw sizes may be limited based on court availability.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
Entry to this tournament is open to all USTA members. Entries must be submitted by Monday, May 14, 2012 11:59:00 PM Eastern Time. Only USTA members can register online if available.
