TCTC - Babolat Junior Spring Championships at Golden Valley Tennis Center- (Level 6)

The Skies are looking brighter and hopefully the courts are going to be dry very, very soon. We may be able to get our new 5:00 pm start times on the court as early as 4:15 pm if both players are able to come over earlier than 4:30- We will be there at 4pm getting the courts completely dry. We are also hoping to move up all the doubles play by 30 minutes more if possible as well. Check draw times for all doubles matches at 5pm, if we are able to adjust times for doubles and start earlier we certainly will. thanks, Dan

Hi Players and Parents, the weather is looking better for this afternoons continuation of our tournament. All matches with games already scored and already in progress will be completed with the 2 sets and super tiebreak format. All additional matches in warm up or not yet started will be played with 8game pro set format. We will be at Brookview the main tournament site at 4pm getting the courts dry. Once the courts are playable we will get courts dry at Lions Park. Everyone- please check in AT LEAST 30 minutes prior to your new afternoon start times. We are now plannning to get players on as early as possible once both players check in. We are going to use 11 courts-at Brookview Park, Lions Park and Wesley Park if necessary to get all the matches completed today and tonight under the lights if necessary. thanks again for all of your patience and participation with the communication during our weather delays

Hello Players and Parents, We have now updated the start times on the draws for each match still to be played. Singles matches will be played beginning at 5pm, and continue at 6pm. Doubles matches will begin at 7pm and continue if needed on the hour at 8pm and 9pm We are planning to move all the singles matches to a 8game pro set format, as well as any doubles. Please email if you are planning to still play in the doubles, and email also if you are not planning to play doubles. We are now on a 4hour delay. Matches were postponed at 10am today. We are hoping to start play again at 2pm at the earliest. All 930am Matches will be scheduled for 2:00pm All 11am matches will be scheduled for 3:00pm All 1230pm matches will be scheduled for 4:30pm All 2pm mathces will be scheduled for 6:00 pm Please check back again for further delay updates at 1pm. thanks, Dan

We are now on a two and half hour rain delay. All 930 am matches will not start before 12:30 pm. All matches scheduled at or after 11am will not start until 1:30pm at the earliest. Please check the website again at 1130am for additional updates and more potential weather delays. Parents and players thanks in advance for your patience and understanding with the weather. We will plan to play all afternoon and evening if possible. We have lighted courts so we may be able to play as late as 8pm start times if necessary for the singles or doubles. Alternative Sites: We have a large community wide event- Golden Valley Days- using the entire Brookview Park on Saturday, so we are using Breck High School Courts Saturday only. Address to Breck - 123 Ottawa Avenue North Golden Valley, MN 55422 Also we will be using two additional smaller for some matches over the weekend. Wesley Park- best access to Wesley Tennis Courts is off of Plymouth Road- Head North on Winnetka from Hwy 55 and head east on Plymouth Road from Winnetka Ave- go about 5 blocks on Plymouth and you will see park entrance and courts on your right. Address to Wesley- 8305 Wesley Dr (Winnetka Ave to Wesley Dr, then west to Orkla.- this is the other entrance to park) Lions Park-best access to Lions will be from Golden Valley Tennis Center- Brookview Park just head three blocks east on Harold Avenue and courts are right there. Address to Lions-151 Louisiana Ave N (Hwy 55 to Glenwood Ave. South to Harold Ave, then left on Louisiana.) Please check this website for all weather related updates for the weekend. In case of inclement weather we will post updates approximately 1.5 hours before start times at the beginning of the day.
