ALL MATCHES WILL BE AT BLAIRWOOD

All matches should begin promptly after a 5 minute warmup.

All main draw matches will use 2 regular sets with a 10-point match tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set.

All consolation matches will use 2 NO-AD sets with a 10-point match tiebreak in lieu of the 3rd set. In doubles, the receiving team will chooses who will receive the deciding point.

Consolation draws are for teams who lose their first match. If you have a first round match and the winner of that match plays someone with a bye, your consolation match only happens if the team with a bye loses.

Monies raised through this tournament create college scholarships for Kentucky juniors who plan to play varsity or club tennis in college. Recipients must play in this tournament, live in the Kentucky District, and complete the attached form. Click "More Info" to access the 2013 Jason Isaacs Memorial College Scholarship. Beginning January 1, 2011, ALL 10 & Under tournament play in Kentucky (and Southern Section) will use the QuickStart Tennis Play Format. The following are mandatory parameters for all play in 10 & Under tournaments:

• Racket—up to 25 inches in length
• Ball—Orange Low Compression Ball
• Court—60’*21’ for singles, 60’*27’ for doubles
• Scoring—Singles—2 short sets to 4 games. At 4-4, a Set Tiebreak (first to 7, win by 2) is played. In lieu of a 3rd set, a Set Tiebreak (first to 7, win by 2) is played to determine the winner of the match. Doubles—1 set to 6 games. If the score reaches 6-6, a Set Tiebreak is played (first to 7, win by 2)


All 10s tournaments, including the Creason and Southern Closed, will use the parameters listed above. Players should be able to keep score, call their lines, and, ultimately, complete the match without a permanent court monitor.
