WWTA Big Wheels Tennis Tournament

Unfortunately, tournament did not receive as many entries as in previous years, so we will need to cancel the tournament for 2012. We hope to see everyone next year. Thank you, Tournament Director

From northwest of Cary to Cary Tennis Park:
From Interstate 40 East, take exit #278 on the right. Go 0.2 miles.
Turn right onto NC -55 South. Go 6.5 miles.
Turn left onto High House Road. Go 0.9 miles.
Turn left onto Carpenter-Upchurch Road. Go 0.1 miles.
Turn right onto Louis Stevens Drive. Go 0.8 miles.
Turn left into Cary Tennis Park.

From south of Cary to Cary Tennis Park:
On NC 55, cross US 1 at Apex and continue on NC 55. Go 6 miles.
Turn right onto High House Road.
Turn left onto Carpenter Upchurch Rd.
Turn Right onto Louis Stephens Dr.
Turn left into Cary Tennis Park (2727 Louis Stephens Dr).

From southeast of Raleigh to Cary Tennis Park:
From Interstate 40 West coming into Raleigh, pass exit #301 and bear left onto I-40 West/I-440/Inner Beltline. Go 8 miles.
Take exit #293A onto US 64 West / US 1 South (not north) Go 2 miles.
Take the exit on the right onto Cary Parkway. Go 5 miles.
Turn left onto High House Road.
Turn left onto Carpenter Upchurch Rd.
Turn Right onto Louis Stephens Dr.
Turn left into Cary Tennis Park (2727 Louis Stephens Dr).

From northeast of Raleigh to Cary Tennis Park:
After reaching I-440 South/Inner Beltline, continue south on this Interstate past exit #16 toward Durham. Continue with the set of directions above labeled "From southeast of Raleigh", starting at step 1. (Exit #16 is in the same area as exit #301 in those directions.)

All matches will be played at The Cary Tennis Center

The scoring will be best two-out-of three tiebreak sets (7 point tiebreaker) with a 10 point tiebreak in lieu of the the third set. All events will be first match loser consolation (FMLC). Events with less than 3 entries will be cancelled. Events could be combined to create an event in lieu of cancelling an event. Depending on the number of entries, a round robin format could be used. All tiebreakers are to use COMAN scoring

Some matches may be scheduled to play on Friday starting no earlier than 5pm. Matches which will be scheduled to play on Friday will be determined by the event draw size which will be known after entries close.

Registration Restrictions: Individual registration will be limited to no more than two (2) events. Please register for only the events that you are eligible to play.

Robert V. Godbold Park (6 cts) - 2050 NW Maynard Rd. 1. Turn right onto Louis Stevens Dr. Go 0.8 miles. 2. Turn left onto Carpenter Upchurch Rd. Go 0.3 miles. 3. Turn left onto High House Rd. Go 3 miles. 4. Turn left onto Maynard Rd. Go 2 miles. 5. Turn right into Robert Godbold Park.

Important Note: PARKING on Louis Stephens Drive is prohibited. Violating vehicles may be cited and/or towed. Overflow parking is available at the Green Hope Elementary School Parking Lot directly across the street (Louis Stephens) from the Cary Tennis Park, plus there is an additional parking area at the North End of the tennis facility which is specifically designated as an overflow parking lot for the tennis park.
