All 8:30am matches report as scheduled. As the courts received some rain overnite, be prepared to help dry your court. Players drying courts will be allowed to start theri match earliest

As of 12:45pm on Sunday players can plan to play one hour after the posted match time. Any matches starting at 1pm or later please add an hour to your time but be on-time to keep us on-time

As of Sunday AM at 630, we are going ahead as scheduled. Players scheduled to play at 8:30 should plan to arrive extra early to help dry courts which are still damp (but drying) due to overnite rain. Players who squeejee and dry their court will be able to start the earliest

The website will be updated by 630am Sunday if we are experiencing any delays due to overnite rain.

On Sunday we will continue with shortened match scoring. Matches in the 12's thru 18's will be the best of 3 (4 game) sets with a match tiebreaker in lieu of a third set. No-ad game scoring will be used in the 12's thru 18's. The scoring for matches in the 10's will consist of one set (6 game) with a tie-break (first to 7 points(win by two) if the set score reaches 6-6. The game scoring in the 10's will be no-ad.

Due to the unsettled weather affecting our area this weekend, we will provide updates of court conditions by 6:30am on the 3 event days. We are unable to offer refunds for withdrawals after the entry deadline of Sunday March 18th at 11:59pm. If you have registered for the event you may withdraw your player prior to Saturday by emailing the tournament director patrick.henson@townofcary.org) All withdrawls must be done by email.

The 10 and under event will be scheduled to start Saturday afternoon at 3pm and conclude on Sunday. Please plan to check-in a minimum of 30 minutes before your scheduled match. Each player will need to have a signed medical release form (see more information below) and get equipment clearance (Rackets must be no longer than 25")

Match times are subject to change & players are responsible for checking their next match times (using the computer provided) immediately following their match. Also check your time frequently (in AM before showing up and later in the day) throughout the event. Throughout tthe event please check-in for matches 30 minutes prior to scheduled time, we may be able to start you earlier if courts are available and both players are present.

Wilson is the official ball for the 2012 Cary Tennis Park Classic. A Wilson US Open ball will be used in all divisions. The Wilson (60' orange) will be used in 10's play. The co-ed 8's will be using the Wilson (36' Red).

On Saturday, March 24th registration will be available at the main site (CTP) from 7:30-10:30am. Any players scheduled to play their first match later on Saturday should leave extra time to register for the event prior to match check-in (please check-in for matches 30 minutes prior to scheduled time, it may be possible to start you earlier if courts are available and both players are present). All Co-ed 8 and under players plan to check-in by 1:45pm on Saturday at the QuickStart courts located to the South of the Stadium Court. All 10 and under players plan to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your first scheduled time on Saturday (or Sunday) to check-in for the event which precedes checking-in for the match. All Players must bring their medical release waiver to their first match and present waiver in checking in for play. The Co-ed 8 and under event will (weather permitting) finish on Monday afternoon March 26th at 4:30pm

For the 10's thru 18's practice courts are available at the main site (Cary Tennis Park) from 7 to 745am on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. The (four) Co-ed 8 and under courts are available from 1 to 1:45 on Saturday on a first come first served basis. A hitting wall is located on site adjacent to court 15 and is open on a first come first served basis.

Water and ice are available on the courtyard level adjacent to the locker rooms. Restrooms are located at the main clubhouse courtyard level, and at two comfort stations on both the West and North sides of the facility.

Awards will be distributed to Main Draw Champions and Finalists, and Consolation Winners in the 10's thru 18's. Players in these divisions (10's thru 18's) will receive a Tee-Shirt upon receiving a signed Medical Release form at the tournament check-in pror to match check-in. All Co-ed 8 and under players will receive a token gift and the top 3 finishers will earn medals.

Seeds will be based on the most current NC Standing List. Juniors ranked in the top 10 in the lower age group may be considered for seeding if playing in a higher age division

From northwest of Cary to Cary Tennis Park:
From Interstate 40 East, take exit #278 on the right. Go 0.2 miles.
Turn right onto NC -55 South. Go 6.5 miles.
Turn left onto Morrisville Parkway. Go 0.1 miles.
Turn right onto Louis Stevens Drive. Go 0.5 miles.
Turn right into Cary Tennis Park.

From south of Cary to Cary Tennis Park:
On NC 55, cross US 1 at Apex and continue on NC 55. Go 6 miles.
Turn right onto High House Road.
Turn left onto Carpenter Upchurch Rd.
Turn Right onto Louis Stephens Dr.
Turn left into Cary Tennis Park (2727 Louis Stephens Dr).

From southeast of Raleigh to Cary Tennis Park:
From Interstate 40 West coming into Raleigh, pass exit #301 and bear left onto I-40 West/I-440/Inner Beltline. Go 8 miles.
Take exit #293A onto US 64 West / US 1 South (not north) Go 2 miles.
Take the exit on the right onto Cary Parkway. Go 5 miles.
Turn left onto High House Road. Go 1 mile
Turn Right onto Carpenter Upchurch Rd. Go .10 mile
Turn Right onto Louis Stephens Dr.
Turn left into Cary Tennis Park (2727 Louis Stephens Dr).

From northeast of Raleigh to Cary Tennis Park:
After reaching I-440 South/Inner Beltline, continue south on this Interstate past exit #16 toward Durham. Continue with the set of directions above labeled "From southeast of Raleigh", starting at step 1. (Exit #16 is in the same area as exit #301 in those directions.)

JUNIOR Suspension Points for Failure to Complete a Tournament (1) After the tournament online deadline, failure for a JUNIOR player to complete a tournament for ANY reason other than retirement during a match due to injury = 1 Point (2) Players may receive 1 point for main draw, 1 point for consolation & 1 point for doubles= 3 points (3) Default No Show & Default Adult Discipline points will remain 5 points (4) Points are accumulative in the Junior Suspension points system (5) A notification letter is sent at 6 points (6) A 3 month suspension will occur when 10 points are reached • Appeals at 10 points can be made to the grievance chairperson • Inclusion under Unsportsmanlike Conduct in the junior Suspension points tab (7) To be exempt from the above, a player must notify the TD immediately at the conclusion of his/her Sunday play that they will be attending school on Monday so will not be participating in play Monday. TD will e-mail jane@nctennis.com those players who have requested this exemption. Names to be sent Sunday night.

NCTA Rain Policy for all sanctioned tournaments 1. Any division where play has begun – no refund 2. Any division where no play has begun – a partial refund after deductions for actual expenses. 3. All completed scores must be reported. Incomplete matches are recorded as ABANDONED( match started but Referee decided not to complete) matches. Matches never started are recorded as UNPLAYED 4. It is at the discretion of the tournament committee if the entire tournament is canceled due to inclement weather. 5. Check the alternate scoring methods for inclement weather

Please keep in mind you cannot park on the street (Louis Stephens) for any reason and you may be ticketed. We have 3 lots available the largest is the lot directly across the street (green hope elementary) we also have our main lot and north lot with smaller capacities

Stringing service will be available but limited. Plan to re-string your frames the week before the event.
