-Consolation matches have been moved from clay courts onto hard courts at Grimsley High School on Saturday. Directions are below.
-Be prepared to play at any time of day or night. Read draws carefully. No exceptions for lateness.

From Raleigh:
1.) I-40W. 2.) Take Bus. I-85 (keep right). 3.) Take E. Lee Street exit. Ramp off right. 4.) Right turn onto E. Lee Street. 5.) Left turn onto Florida Street at first stoplight. 6.) ½ mile Left turn into park. 7.) Courts are straight ahead.
From Charlotte:
1.) I-85N to exit 120 (sign says "to Business I-85N to I-40W"). 2.) Follow Bus. I-85 N. 3.) Follow to E. Lee Street exit. Ramp off right. 4.) Left turn onto E. Lee Street. 5.) Left turn onto Florida Street at first stoplight. 6.) ½ mile Left turn into park. 7.) Courts are straight ahead.
From Winston-Salem:
1.) Take I-40 E through Greensboro. 2.) Follow to E. Lee Street exit. Ramp off right. 3.) Left turn onto E. Lee Street. 4.) Left turn onto Florida Street at first stoplight. 5.) ½ mile Left turn into park. 6.) Courts are straight ahead.

Exit and turn right onto High Point Rd. 6.) Left turn onto Aycock St. (at Wendy's). 7.) Left turn onto Campus Dr. 8.) Courts ahead on left. Parking on right.

FORMAT AND SCORING
-The format is FMLC (First Match Loser Consolation). All matches will play a 10 point match tiebreaker instead of a full 3rd set.
-Boys 10s: The 10s division for this tournament will play on a 60' court using ORANGE compression balls. Racquets cannot be longer than 25". Matches are best-of-three 4 game sets, no-ad scoring, with a 7 point tiebreak instead of a third set. We will try to complete the 10s division in one day either Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

PLAYER’S RESPONSIBILITY
-It is the PLAYER'S responsibility to know their next match time and show up in a timely manner.
-Check website often for updated match times.
-PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN FOR EACH MATCH 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO ITS SCHEDULED START TIME.
-ALL USTA RULES WILL BE ENFORCED FOR LATENESS.
-This tournament has a lot of matches to be played, and there will be no exceptions for lateness (i.e. traffic etc.).

PARENT AND MEDICAL RELEASE FORMS
-The Parent Form and Medical Release is required by USTA/NC prior to
playing matches.
-Parent or guardian must sign. Bring signed form with you to registration.

SEEDING
From USTA/North Carolina Seeding Criteria:
"Seeding shall be done using only the results from most recently published USTA/North Carolina Combined Standings Lists of the division in the order in which players appear on the list." Some special criteria may apply.

WITHDRAWALS
-If you need to withdraw before entries close, you must do so online.
-Click on "Edit Registration," then "Withdraw." You will need your original confirmation number.
-All withdrawals after entries close must be sent BOTH in writing by email (to the Tournament Director's address above) and by phone to the
tournament site.
-Players withdrawing after the tournament deadline will not be refunded the entry fee.
-Suspension points may also be assessed by the NCTA.

IMPORTANT JUNIOR SUSPENSION NOTES
Please note the rules below pertain to ALL sanctioned North Carolina and Southern tournaments.
11. “A player shall not enter two tournaments at the same time. When entries close, a player shall not be entered in two or more sanctioned tournaments, if any part of the tournaments is scheduled to overlap unless each tournament committee involved understands the situation and concurs in writing.”
12. “Player shall not enter a tournament intending to withdraw if the player’s entry is accepted in another tournament.”
What if placed on an Alternate List? There are two options:
1. Stay on the Alternate Lists in hope of getting into the tournament.
2. Withdraw from the alternate list so you can legally enter another tournament.

LIMITED DRAWS AND SELECTION PROCESS
Limited Draws:
-Some divisions will be limited to a specific number of entries.
Selection Process:
-The top players applying from the USTA/NC most current standings list will be selected into the draw.
-Selections will be posted no later than the Monday after the deadline at 5:00 PM.
-The names of players who have been selected will appear as “Competitors.”

ALTERNATES
-The alternates by event report will be updated daily.
-Contact us immediately if you realize that you cannot participate.
-It is the alternates’ responsibility to check the website to see if your alternate status has changed. The tournament will make every effort to contact you if your status does change providing the correct information is on your membership profile.
-Once an alternate is selected for play, payment is due immediately.

SELECTIONS AND ALTERNATES
-Selections were made based on the Jan. 31st North Carolina Standings Lists.
-The Alternates Report will be updated upon any changes.
-Alternates will be contacted if they are selected.

CONSOLATION OUTDOORS
-Also, due to the large size of the draw, we will attempt to play some of the consolation matches outdoors, weather permitting.

Players are selected manually by the tournament director after the close of registration.
