Alabama Junior Claycourt State Championship Open - STA L3 AL Level 2

Most of the Bronze Brackets are now popullated. I apologize for the lateness that we completed this task however we have to manually add each and every player to the individual bronze brackets. We then have to manually assign these players to a line in that particular draw. This is very time consuming. Somoe lines on some draws can only populated after other rounds in the regular consolation have been played.

All pllayers in the 12's, both boys and girls, check the draws for new match times. The draws now contain the rescheduled times. We appreciate everyone's patience as we worked through Saturday's despicable weather. Thanks.

Clay court matches that were on-court when the rain began wi will resume those matches at 6:00 P.M. For clay court matches not on the court the new matche times are as follows: Matches originally scheduled for 3:30 P.M. are now scheduled for 6:30 P.M. Matches originally scheduled for 4:00 P.M. or 4:30 P.M. are now scheduled for 7:00 P.M.

All hardcourt matches are suspended until Sunday morning. Check the Internet after 9:00 P.M. for the rescheduled match times and locaations. Thanks.

All hard court matches at Huntsville High School and at the headquarters site are suspended until 4:30 P.M. Weather permitting we will resume play on the hardcourts then. For all clay court matches we will resume play at 4:00 P.M. No further weather update is planned unless we gte more rain.

CONTACT THE REFEREE DIRECTLY FOR ALL WITHDRAWALS. When withdrawing by phone please send a confirming email to the referee so that we will have a record for all withdrawals.Thanks.

ALL PLAYERS WILL NEED TO CHECK IN AT THE MAIN HEADQUARTERS SITE PRIOR TO ALL MATCHES THROUGHOUT THE TOURNAMENT. THIS IS TRUE EVEN IF THE MATCH IS TO BE PLAYED AT ANOTHER FACILITY. PLAYERS ARE REQUESTED TO CHECK IN 30 MINUTES PRIOR TO THEIR SCHEDULED TIME FOR EACH MATCH. NEITHER OF THE TWO SATELLITE SITES ARE VERY FAR FROM THE MAIN SITE AND WE WILL HAVE WRITTEN DIRECTIONS TO EACH SITE AT THE HEADQUARTERS LOCATION. DO NOT GO DIRECTLY TO THE SATELLITE SITES. Players, please be aware that everyone is quaranteed three matches under the new format for Southern Level 3 tournaments. There is another consolation draw for first round loosers in the regular consolation. These draws are the 'Bronze Bracket' draws. So, unless you heve lost twice you're still in the tournament. If there is any question about this see any one of the tournament staff and we will help you. Thanks.

WE WILL BE USING THREE SITES FOR THIS TOURNAMENT. WE WILL HAVE PRINTED DIRECTIONS TO ALL SITES AT THE HEADQUARTERS FACILITY. THE SITES WITH THEIR ABBREVIATIONS ON THE DRAWS ARE AS FOLLOWS:

HUNTSVILLE TENNIS CENTER - THIS IS THE HEADQUARTERS SITE. IT IS BBREVIATED "MAIN" ON THE DRAW SHEETS.

HUNTSVILLE TENNIS CENTER HARD COURTS - THIS IS THE SIX HARDCOURTS AT THE HEADQUARTERS SITE. IT IS ABBREVIATED "HARD" ON THE DRAWS.

HUNTSVILLE ATHLETIC CLUB - IS LITERALLY JUST AROUND THE CORNER FROM THE MAIN SITE AND IS ABBREVIATED "HAC" ON THE DRAWS.

HUNTSVILLE HIGH SCHOOL - LOCATED JUST UNDER THREE MILES FROM HEADQUARTERS AND IS ABBREVIATED "HHIGH" ON THE DRAWS.

The G14 White Group Draw has been revised. This was necessary due to a withdrawal of one of the players. I have also published a new Future Match Report which reflect thes change. Please check the draw sheet or the Future Match Report for new c

The draws and along with the Future Match Time Report are now available. The Future Match Time Report lists the first match time and location for all players. Only the first two rounds for each draw will have times visible. We will make the other matchh times available by Saturday morning. We have estabished the schedule but we are wiating to see what the weather does either to us of for us before turning the times on for all rounds.Thanks.

WE HAVE COMPLETED THE PLAYER SELECTION PROCESS PLUS WE HAVE PUBLISHED THE ALTERNATES BY EVENT REPORT. THIS REPORT IS A RANK ORDERED LIST OF ALTERNATES FOR EACH EVENT FOR WHICH WE HAVE ALTERNATES. IF YOU WISH TO HAVE YOUR NAME REMOVED FROM THE ALTERNATES LIST PLEASE CONTACT THE TOURNAMENT REFEREE BY EMAIL.

ON WEDNESDAY WE WILL ESTABLISH THE SEEDS FOR ALL DRAWS. WE WILL THEN DIVIDE ANY DRAW WITH 24 OR MORE PLAYERS INTO TWO GROUPS OF 16. PLEASE FEEL FREE CONTACT THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR OR MYSELF, THE TOURNAMENT REFEREE, IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS PROCESS. THANKS.

As of Jan. 2012 all USTA Southern Junior Level 3 tournaments will be following the following format unless stated otherwise on the tournament homepage. Highlights of the New Format are as follows: *ALL LEVEL 3 TOURNAMENTS WILL BE HELD OVER A TWO DAY PERIOD (SATURDAY AND SUNDAY) UNLESS APPROVED BY THE STA. *All tournaments shall have two 16 balanced draws in each age division. The two draws will be determined by use of the waterfall system. * Format: Feed in with an independent draw for the losers of the first feed in match. This will guarantee three matches. *If number of participants goes under 24 (23 and under), one draw will be used instead. *Seeding shall follow the USTA Southern Section seeding regulations. Players selected on their 10’s standing shall not be considered for seeding in the 12’s division.

Scoring: ALL MATCHES WILL BEST TWO OUT OF THREE SETS WITH A MATCH TIEBRIEAKER IN LIEU OF A THIRD SET. If there are weather delays, abbreviated scoring like shorts sets or no add scoring might be used. Before changing format due to inclement weather, this must be approved by Section and State.

The USTA requires a medical release SIGNED BY THE PARENT OR GUARDIAN for every player. This form must be presented at the time of the tournament registration.
