Due to the constant overnight rain none of our courts will be open till close to one and that is a maybe. We are sorry but we are cancelling the tournament all matches scheduled for today will not happen.

Please park on the street "Brookgreen Street" for Southern Village parking lot is for the pool and tennis members, thank you in advance for your help with this.

Please learn the rules no tournament is suppose to let you into the tournament after the deadline unless NCTA extends the deadline that was not our case. It is like teaching your kids to cheat looking to get into the tournament after the deadline, it is your responsibility as a parent to know this rule.

Please check into the tournament at the main site Chapel Hill Tennis Club, you will have to sign a medical player release form, each player will receive a t shirt.

from the south: take 15/501 north to 15/501 bypass, 54 intersection. take 54 west (bypass) toward carrboro. follow 54 past the exit for greensboro st. westbrook dr. is the second left beyond greensboro st. (carolina apartments will be on the right). club dead ends on westbrook drive. from durham: take 15/501 bypass around chapel hill to its connection with 54 bypass. take 54 bypass west, see above. from raleigh: take i-40 to chapel hill and exit at 273a west onto 54 into chapel hill, then take 54 west bypass at glen lennox shopping center. follow 54 bypass and 15/501 toward carrboro, etc. see above.

Directions to Southern Village Tennis Club from Chapel Hill Tennis Club To Southern Village from CHTC parking lot, go straight down Westbrook Dr., to Highway 54 East. Turn right go 1.5 miles to 2nd exit which will be 15 501 86 North Chapel Hill Pittsboro. Turn right towards Pittsboro, go 1.1 mile, turn right onto Market go 0.2 miles past the movie theater, then turn right on Brookgreen go 0.3 miles turn into parking lot where tennis courts are.

We are using two sites one is Chapel Hill Tennis Club the other is Southern Village, Chapel Hill Tennis Club Clay courts is CHTCC and Chapel Hill Tennis Club Hard courts is TCHrd and Souther Village is SV

If you are not signed up with a partner but are signed up in doubles by yourself we have to remove you from the doubles part for we need to do seedings, draws and times, thank you for your understanding.

Please send me an email with your questions if you happen to leave it on my super old machine I might not be able to hear it, I am sure it is my fault because everybodies cell connection is very clear, never any robotic sounds and nobody mumbles or slurs words, but for whatever reasons half my messages are unclear so please if you would like a response send me an email. Also I am away till Monday from office so will not get to them till 2 pm.

The current plan is to have both Boys and Girls 12's, 14's play on clay courts while the boy's and girl's 10's, 16's and 18's will be on hard courts. This may change this will be fianlized next tuesday May 8th.

Players withdrawing after the tournament deadline will not be refunded the entry fee. Each player that needs to withdrawl needs to send me an e-mail with their USTA number, and division they are withdrawing from.

Matches played with Tiebreak in Lieu of 3rd Set A 3-minute Set Break will be taken after splitting sets. During this break the players may receive coaching on court. Players are not permitted to leave the court except for a legitimate toilet/change of attire break. A player taking a toilet/change of attire break, for which "reasonable time" is allowed (see court official), may receive coaching during that break. A player remaining on court while the opponent takes a toilet/change of attire break may receive coaching until their opponent returns. Cell phones may be used by players on court to receive coaching during the break. A player taking a toilet/change of attire break may also use a cell phone to receive coaching. Cell phones must be turned off at the end of the 3-minute set break.

You must sign up with a partner and your parner must sign up with you for the tournament to accept you into doubles if both parties do not do that neither of you will be in the doubles. We will not pick partners for you, you must have a partner to play doubles. If you do not get selected into the tournament for singles and you still want to play doubles you can we will reimburse you part of the entry and only charge you $10 for doubles.

No tournament may reschedule without the approval of the S & S Committee. 5. If a tournament is unable to complete the tournament within the sanctioned dates, no extensions will be allowed. The tournament will be over. 6. It is at the discretion of the tournament committee if the entire tournament is canceled due to inclement weather. 7.
